Generally, jetting through town aboard a stretch limousine is enough to make a night memorable. But Retro Party Limos wraps unforgettable nights in a fun-loving blanket of nostalgia picking up party people in the White Knight, a swanky stretch Lincoln Town Car with a vintage aesthetic. The vehicle sports a full bar, a 700-watt stereo system, and retro detailing that extends from the driver's 1980's or Caddyshack-inspired uniform to a VHS setup with classics such as Pretty Woman, Top Gun, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Not all of the White Night's technologies are vintage, though: wireless Blutooth technology keeps passengers connected by allowing them to read each other's thoughts.
Nabbing your own driver frees you of the hassle of event parking, the burden of designated driving, and the embarrassment of getting caught lip-syncing to Milli Vanilli alone. One of Your Car Our Driver's discreet, professionally attired chauffeurs will show up at a location of your choice—whether it be Grandma's house or an abandoned warehouse—ready to be your personal envoy. All drivers have at least two years of chauffeur experience and a lifetime's worth of relationship advice.
Though Newport Car Wash's cleaners specialize in hand washing luxury and high-end cars, they also work to bring out the elegant side of more humble rides. Customers kick back in a waiting room with air conditioning, a flat-screen television, a leather couch, and a variety of beverages as the technicians tend to vehicles. They draw upon shelves of wax, polish, wheel conditioners, and other products, leaving interiors and exteriors gleaming like a knight at a waterpark.
Though they met through the RV business, Jim Headley and Dick Burke bonded over their excitement for a different mode of transportation. They opened Segway Orange County in 2004, and have since been matching customers with Segway i2 and Segway i180 models. Their shop hosts orientations for new owners, bringing Segway representatives in to coach attendees on the machine's operation and safety features before their first ride. The training also kicks off each of Segway Orange County's guided tours, which whisk visitors on 60- to 90-minute jaunts through Newport Pier or the Balboa Peninsula. Riding atop their Segway PT, patrons glide past sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, beachfront homes, and boardwalk highlights such as the lone wizard who controls the tides with a series of pulleys.
As an FAA-approved Flight School, Orange County Flight Center prepares aspiring pilots to handle aircraft of all sizes, from private Cessnas to commercial jets. They employ a mix of classroom time, actual flight hours, and simulator training to increase their students' aerial aptitude, following the Skyroamers syllabi to the letter. Each new certification builds on the one before it, allowing private pilots to earn commercial licenses, multi-engine ratings, or even become instructors themselves.
Once licensed, students get to opportunity to return to their alma mater to rent aircraft for private excursions. Available vehicles include a selection of Cessnas, a pair of Pipers, and a twin-engined 1976 Beechcraft Duchess.
