In addition to attending culinary school, owner Angela Gallo achieved the rank of sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Fusing military efficiency with an unmistakable passion for pastries, Angela has succeeded in developing a potent arsenal of baked goods that will barrage your taste buds into smile-induced surrender. Three Tiers carries a stockpile of standard-sized cupcakes ($1.95) as well as minis ($0.95, by order only) that come in scrumptious flavors like buttermilk with white-chocolate buttercream icing, and vanilla with caramel buttercream, chocolate sauce, caramel, and toasted coconut. Using only the freshest ingredients and imported Belgian chocolate, Three Tiers will be happy to bake expertly crafted creations for your special occasion, like a deliciously verbalized Scrabble board cake or an almost-too-cute-to-eat ladybug cake that will come to life if you allow tears to land on it.

Cake Towne's pastry barons heap frosting and chocolate onto fresh, never-frozen treats. The shop's truffle-esque cake balls, chocolate-dipped mixtures of cake and frosting, dress themselves in flavors both traditional and surprising, from salted caramel and chocolate raspberry to spicy carrot. Once coated, the treats go for a dip in rivers of dark, white, or milk chocolate. Stick candles into each of these dozen pastry spheres (a $10.50 value) to create a birthday cake befitting a juggler turning a multiple of 12. A dozen chocolate-covered strawberries (a $24 value) delight taste buds and add a racy edge to oft-wholesome fruit. Free WiFi wafts throughout the shop, allowing patrons to use their sticky fingers to look up how to clean frosting off a keyboard.

Q&A with Josh Miller, Manager

What made you want to work with food? When did you first develop that passion?
It had always been my family's dream to bring a delicious frozen frozen yogurt and ice cream to Blue Ash. We have done a lot of research over the years, and we feel that we've found a quality product that will "wow" customers.

Are there any dishes on the menu you consider to be a hidden gem—not necessarily the most popular, but surprisingly delicious?
We offer a product called the flavor burst. You can choose from eight different flavors, and the machine will put a ring of colorful flavor around your ice cream. The kids love the exciting colors and the parents love the wonderful flavors it adds to their treat.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
This is a family owned and operated business, and our staff is available to assist customers in any way possible.

Sandwiches, such as the tuna salad ($6.79) or PB&J ($2.89), come bookended by the bread of the day or a bagel of your choice, and six soups dot the menu, each served alongside bagel thins ($3.65–$4.30). Guests can also show off refined, mature tastes to old college buddies by chugging an entire cup of coffee or tea (1.69+). Many of the deli’s delectable offerings are also sold in bulk for take-home feasts.
