Since equipping the world with its first wood-slat recliner in 1928, La-Z-Boy has branded itself as a well-known producer of high-quality furniture, including their signature recliner, loveseats, ottomans, upholstered sofas, accent tables, and much more. The Urbana oval end table ($249 and up) is genetically engineered to keep junk mail off the ground and blocks the couch's attempts to stretch out into the hall. The Newport News City Council established the Newport News Green Foundation in 1998 in response to the vast urban development that had overtaken the city. The foundation became an independent nonprofit soon thereafter, and began landscaping along urban corridors to enhance the quality of life for local residents. Today, the Green Foundation acquires spaces within the city and beautifies them with plants to create wildlife habitats and sources of clean air. During regular service days, volunteers come together to beautify a space—clearing, digging, plowing, and planting. Since its inception, the Green Foundation has transformed spaces throughout the community, including 4.84 acres behind the Brentwood Shopping Center and 2 acres at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and McLawhorne Drive.

Though hiding from opponents deep within the jungles and cave mazes surrounding ancient Incan temple ruins would normally induce acute panic attacks, it's actually part of the fun at LazerRush. After viewing an instructional film that covers the game's rules, players equip themselves with a laser-sensitive vest and phaser. Once inside the 5,800-square-foot arena, they slalom through dark and smoky corridors on missions to defend their base, conquer their competitor's base, and confuse as many vagabond cats as possible.

After each game, scores reveal where participants placed, which opponents they hit, and which opponents hit them in turn. Outside the arena, meanwhile, scores keep spectators abreast of the action inside, as do large plasma monitors that stream each game.

Over the course of 25 years of dry cleaning, the staff at Boston Cleaners has developed an efficient cleaning regime dubbed The 13 Travels of Your Garment. The process begins with a warm welcome, during which the staff enters each item into a computer system before inspecting and sorting each piece. Then, cleaners apply one of 20 stain-removal detergents, clean garments with eco-friendly machines, and steam them to release wrinkles and cook any long-forgotten, pocketed dumplings. Garments are then given a hand finish, inspected one last time, and delivered to their owners in protective packaging.
