Norman native Mark Russell calls upon his four years spent as a Special Forces operator in the US Marine Corps and 14 years as a professional trainer in the motocross industry to inspire the pupils of Rise Above Fit Camp. He challenges his students to push to new limits with constantly changing workouts that can involve everything from stadium runs to CrossFit-inspired exercises.

Fit Body Boot Camp's nationally certified personal trainers replace drill-sergeant screams with encouraging mantras in their one-hour indoor classes that welcome clients of all fitness levels. During sessions, trainers round out weightlifting sessions, resistance drills, and core workouts with cardio routines such as light running and obstacle courses. They switch up class routines regularly to ensure courses are never the same from day to day, leading wildcard days that incorporate hiking, crawling, and high-stakes Uno games played with 50-pound cards. The boot camp is a four-week program consisting of 18 constantly changing workouts that each last 45 minutes. The outdoor classes provide full-body workouts that incorporate strength-training exercises using body weight, as well as cardio and interval training. In addition to the fast-paced sessions, the boot camp provides nutrition plans and camp T-shirts for all of its participants.
