Georgia Elite All Stars' staff of professional cheerleaders, gymnasts, and martial artists lead tumbling and cheer classes for students 18 months to 18 years old in a state of the art facility. Programs range from weekly tumbling sessions for toddlers new to walking to grade-school cheer teams competing in Cheersport Cheerleading and Dance Championships. But the activities offered here encompass much more than just straightforward tumbling and cheer. In the tricking class, second-degree black belt instructor covers martial arts moves that incorporate tumbling that can be seen from the facility's observation deck.

The first time Jimmy Redus tried out for cheerleading, it was just a joke with his wrestling buddies. However, when he didn't make the team, cheerleading became a real goal and eventually, a passion. More than two decades since that first tryout, he owns Middle Georgia Cheer Extreme––a cheer and gymnastics training center with its own 11,000 square-foot facility and team of experienced coaches. Tumbling classes, cheer teams, and private lessons train students ages 2 to adult, focusing on the athleticism of the sport and personal development.

In 1976, educator, musician, and kinesiologist Robin Wes longed for a children's gym that prioritized personal growth over competition. Unveiled at a time when physical-education classes pushed students to focus almost exclusively on winning, Robin's program was swiftly adopted and is now used in more than 300 Little Gyms worldwide. Robin still pens original music to accompany lessons, which engage whippersnappers 4 months to 12 years old with gymnastics, dance, karate, and parent and child activities.

Each of The Little Gym's classes introduces simple movements that sharpen motor skills and set brains whirring, allowing kids to progress at their own pace until they can finally build a computer out of macaroni and glitter. Staff members strive to build a base for lifelong social skills and self-assurance with each exercise, including activities rooted purely in fun, such as summer camps or birthday parties, which helped The Little Gym to earn title of #1 Birthday Chain in Parents Magazine.

For more than 20 years, Carrie Heller's life has been a balancing act between honing her circus talents and helping others. Today, the licensed clinical social worker, a founding member of the American Youth Circus Organization, blends therapy methods with big-top techniques at the Circus Arts Institute, benefiting children and adults alike with mind- and body-benefiting acrobatics that send students swinging, twirling, and laughing through the air.

Carrie and her team of instructors acquaint students with circus-performance fundamentals using the trapeze, tight wire, Spanish web, and juggling balls. They bolster core and upper-body strength during Circus Arts Fitness workouts, which have been featured on CNN for their exciting approach to toning. For students with special needs, such as sensory challenges or ADD, they host Circus Arts Therapy classes. These sessions channel playful and positive energy as small groups learn to navigate circus equipment, enhancing their confidence, social skills, and physical coordination in a much more natural way than going on a handstand speed date.

Although each of the seven Just Fitness 4U locations has its own distinctions—such as the Lawrenceville location's 24/7 hours or the Marietta location's 25,000 sq. ft. facility and marble lobby—they more or less share the same tools for getting in shape. For starters, each is furnished with state-of-the-art Life Fitness and Hammer Strength equipment, which can be used or lifted to increase strength. Moreover, the facilities have a team of certified personal trainers and group fitness instructors who lead one-on-one workouts and fitness classes such Pilates, Zumba, yoga, and spinning, respectively.
