At The Fairways Driving Range, players can practice all the skills they need to excel on the course. Golfers can take aim at grass target greens at a range with grass tees as well as covered mat hitting areas. A greenside sand trap lets golfers hone their scrambling skills, and a 4,000 square-foot, bent-grass practice green provides a slick surface for golfers to work on their touch with the putter. The practice facility also lets players demo a number of training aids to perfect their form.
A destination with a little something for the whole family, The Only Game in Town boasts a driving range, two mini-golf courses, a go-kart track, and a fully appointed arcade. Party packages are available to celebrate special days, and can be customized to accommodate a variety of group sizes with varying levels of activities included.
Practice is the foundation of golf. Without it, the game can be frustrating, eventually sending golfers' into a fragile state of agitation. Knowing how important practice is, Indian Head Golf Park's instructors and staff focus their efforts on helping golfers improve their game. At the park's well-lit driving range, staff members keep golfers well stocked with buckets of range balls to blow off steam as they aim for the ball-retriever cart. Instructor Bob Greenstein works with students during private lessons to fine-tune their swings, and he hosts junior golf camps during summer to introduce youngsters to the game.
