Gable Equestrian’s leafy facility may be peaceful, but that doesn’t mean it’s not host to plenty of activity. The stable specializes in teaching dressage, an equestrian event that showcases a horse’s natural athletic ability and demonstrates its willingness to perform—its only outlet for that impulse since horses were banned from the 100-meter dash. Of course, the center is also adept at caring for horses, feeding, bathing, and exercising the noble beasts that take up residence there.
Bennett Farms' experienced instructors teach riders and horses to cooperate with each other during a 45-minute private lesson. Learn how to tack up horses and equipment before focusing on riding or driving, where you will figure out how to understand and communicate effectively using Morse code with the horse. The Bennett Farms horses are intelligent, friendly, and well-trained.
From pocket puppies to extra-large beasts, Pimp My Pooch Pet Spa coddles all breeds with salon services worthy of man’s best friend. Groomers massage their furry customers with organic and eco-friendly shampoos before hand drying them with soft towels. From there, they’ll administer either a breed-appropriate cut, or follow the owner’s lead and design a custom look. Throughout each 90-minute service, dogs can nibble on organic treats as a reward for good behavior or finally mastering their times tables. The treats are also available for purchase, along with doggy outfits, in the boutique. Pups who haven’t quite grasped the art of sit and stay can enroll in Pimp My Pooch’s dog-training sessions. Led by Melissa Munoz, the group or private seminars can alleviate all sorts of behavioral problems, from excessive barking and chewing to poor leash manners.
