Divers as young as 10 years old can discover the life of a flippered amphibian in a Discover Scuba class ($65) at Scuba Views. During the three-hour introductory class, one of the PADI-certified instructors will guide you from land-based preparations through exploring the aqueous abyss within the safety and confines of a pool. All the necessary equipment will be provided, along with safety tips, diving techniques, and equipment-handling skills to help you navigate the balmy waters. Lessons are year round, and because there is no minimum number of students required for classes, Scuba Views will accommodate your schedule any day except Tuesday, the Scuba Sabbath day of rest.

Pro Tip: We have a talented, caring team of instructors that will provide a great workout for all levels.

"We are the only gym in Las Vegas to receive the prestigious Conde Nast Five Star distinction, and have one of the largest CrossFit facilities in the world." That's how manager Robert Garza describes City Athletic Club, and indeed the facility is impressive. Its 48,000 square feet house a range of workout equipment and group exercise studios, as well as places to relax, including a sauna and hot tub. Yet despite this encyclopedic collection of fitness gear, City Athletic Club doesn't really look like a gym. It takes on more of a night club vibe, just with less sweating. White couches wait right inside the doors, soft neon lights drape in front of spinning machines, and a row of bar stools sits along counters near the front desk?the perfect place to sip a beverage from the smoothie cafe.

Water Wings Las Vegas recognizes that swimming lessons aren't just for kids. Sure, there's Baby Swim, which introduces three-month-olds to the water with the help of their parents. Likewise, Seahorse teaches freestyle and backstroke basics to 3?5 year-olds. But the pool?part of the United States Swim School Association?also caters to Adults who can work one-on-one with an instructor, take group classes, or get in an hour-long workout during a lap swim class. No matter the age or skill level, swimmers can practice all year long since the swimming pool is indoors. Its water stays 90 degrees, the perfect temperature for practicing the breaststroke or keeping a marshmallow at room temperature.

Located inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, the spirit of friendly competition hangs in the air at db's Pong & Pool Hall, which is home to 20,000 square feet of beer-pong tables, foosball machines, and dartboards. The hall welcomes eagle-eyed beer-pong players to compete in cash tournaments and pool players to sink the 8 ball into the corner pocket or a beer glass turned on its side. If their draft beers haven't been spilled on the felt, patrons can sip them while huddling around high-definition TVs to cheer on their teams or sauntering over to the pub's stage to catch a live performance.

AAI Neptune Divers' instructors teach students of all levels various scuba-diving techniques, whether they want to become an instructor themselves, or simply want to obtain their diving certification. Open-water scuba-certification classes help the latter, giving students all the skills they need to travel to a submerged shipwreck or teach English to underprivileged merchildren. Rescue-diver classes explain how to rescue a fellow diver in the water, and they pair with CPR- and first-aid-certification courses. When they aren't teaching, the instructors lead dive trips out to Catalina.

Located adjacent to the Gentleman's Club The Sapphire, Sapphire Pool & Day Club is where Vegas's industry people play when the sun is out. DJs spin music as people drink cocktails or try to guess the depth of the pool by throwing in the tallest person they know. While sitting poolside, guests might end up sharing the shade with celebrities such as Kourtney Kardashian, Pam Anderson, Adrian Grenier, and Dennis Rodman, who have all previously been spotted sunning on the pool's chaise longues.
