Few sounds recall childhood like the jangling of the ice cream truck. With Pop Lab, owners Nico and Christina dust off that halcyon nostalgia and give it a grownup spin. The duo rents out their ice-cream-man-style push carts, sending attendants to roll through parties and add a splash of whimsy. Serving ice pops out of lemon-lime colored carts complete with a bright green umbrella, they sling alcohol-infused popsicles in flavors such as mojito, martini, and margarita, all made with natural ingredients harvested in Big Rock Candy Mountain. Ice pops also come in alcohol-free varieties, such as cucumber-lemonade, and the sugar can be substituted with natural sweeteners such as blue agave and organic stevia.
Born to a large family in Kingston, Jamaica and named "family cook" at a young age, it's no surprise that Judith Able feels perfectly at home in the kitchen. She grew up making the most of easy access to fresh fish and farm-grown produce, and multiple degrees in culinary services only honed that passion for well-made food. Available for catering, in-home meals, or black-tie food fights, her menus boast elegant delights such as caramelized brie tartlets, garlic and herb encrusted snapper, and pan-seared duck breast with grilled polenta.

Gerardo and Sabrina Seferlis, owners of Gerardo’s Marketplace, ensure that its bakery cases teem with freshly made bread and the salad bar and market shelves stay full of local, organic, and seasonal fare. The former manager of a gourmet marketplace in the same location, Gerardo decided to reopen the market himself after it closed, because "I knew all my customers and they're the ones that needed what I had to offer." Since 1998, the store’s deli counter has given personalized attention to customers and any confused club sandwiches that wander in.
