Champions of the Big Sky Conference for the last two seasons, the WSU Wildcats set hoops afire and overwhelm their dribbling adversaries with fast-paced basketballing expertise. Join the crowd of growling fans and purr loudly in support of Lindsey Hughey, Bryon Fulton, and the rest of Coach Rahe’s Wildcat wonders as they dribble and dunk past conference challengers in family-friendly competition. The five-ticket package gives guests a full view of the game without fear of being pelted with sweat-soaked hand towels, and is valid for seats in section five—the orange portions seen on this color-coded chart.

Dark Sun Studios' team of audio, lighting, and film experts draws on decades of production experience to create music videos, films, commercials, and other media. The hands-on class begins with a lesson in the fundamental physics of lighting and quantum equations to determine how many gaffers it takes to screw in a light bulb. Then multimedia professionals illuminate the basics of shot composition and lighting setup, first with Dark Sun's studio-grade Cine-Lux lighting and then with simple and inexpensive hardware store materials. Students utilize the 2,500-square-foot studio's various backdrops, lighting fixtures, and high ceilings as they experiment with light, shadow, and contrast. The class then brings the limelight to the outdoors, where they learn how to mimic moonlight, do battle with dusk, and simulate black holes using only an arc lamp and a roll of duct tape. After a discussion on at-home lighting equipment, everyone leaves with a complimentary handbook.

More than two decades ago, Angy Ford, the owner of Bravo Arts Academy, taught her first piano lesson. In the years that followed, Angy’s student base steadily grew, taking over her home-studio space and filling it with noise like a college roommate with no conception of personal space. Angy was heartened by this positive response and overwhelmed by the number of students knocking at her door, so she moved her operation to its current Ogden studio space, which, like the home studio that came before, has continued to expand. Here, Angy couples her bread-and-butter music classes with a host of other engaging pursuits—from art classes to dance lessons—that help kids develop confidence, coordination, and artistic skills. The academy’s facilities invite tots to tumble over thick foam, ballerinas to pirouette over a floating marley floor, and pianists to tickle the ivories in a group setting.

Broken down by age group, the academy’s offerings include preschool, where classes are kept small and incorporate sign language into the curriculum, and extends all the way to private music lessons for adults. Angy models her daycare after the best practices she observed while visiting more than 50 childcare centers, encouraging creativity and learning rather than running infants through daily gauntlets of strength.

The shelves at Color Me Mine’s studios teem with whimsical bisque-pottery pieces—pony and princess figurines, piggy banks, and kitty-cat mugs—each stark white and waiting for the brush strokes of a budding artist. That artist might be a birthday boy at a party with up to 50 of his friends, or a grown-up unwinding at a girls' night out. No previous experience is required, as the studio staff dispenses plenty of painting tips, stencils, and artistic inspiration. Afterwards, the staff will fire the resulting pieces, which can then be used as décor or dinnerware thanks to Color Me Mine's lead-free, food-safe, paints.

In addition to open painting and private parties, the studio hosts after-school enrichment programs, field trips, and activities that inspire adults to design their own kitchenware or to turn that pile of rocks in the backyard into a pile of multicolored rocks.

The rye-grass fairways at Eagle Lake Golf Course twine around three ponds and a smattering of bunkers. As nine-hole rounds commence, golfers face a long, wide fairway that encourages long drives, and the fifth hole’s dogleg left calls for expertly dispatched curve balls. The course’s driving range boasts 20 covered stalls, lighted from April through October; 8 of them are heated for hatching golf balls into chicks during the winter. A putting green, chipping green, and 60-yard pitching green round out the practice area, and guests can also take advantage of professional guidance in lessons.

Eagle Lake Golf Course also offers mining-themed miniature golf for the entertainment of smaller-scale gamers. The course's 18 holes of putt-putt wend past diminutive waterfalls and around three mountains, including a 12-foot peak with mine shafts and mining carts.

Course at a Glance: * 9-hole, par 36 course * Length of 3,162 yards from the farthest set of tees * Course rating of 35.3 from the farthest set of tees * Slope rating of 112 from the farthest set of tees * Four tee options
