Body Studio Corp incorporates the calorie-roasting benefits of boxing into workouts designed especially for ladies. During workouts, expert instructors lead groups of four to six women, showing them how to carve leaner limbs and tighter torsos while building their confidence. To do so, ladies stick and move with punching bags, tighten their abs with speed bags, and torch away flab with a variety of floor routines, eliminating up to 1,200 calories per class. The instructors augment the health benefits of their workouts by outlining a complete diet of whole foods.
American Kempo Karate Academy founder Mark DiNino is an eighth-degree black belt?and a father. In fact, three of his own children train at the academy, meaning the South Shore native shares many of the same hopes and concerns as other parents of AKKA students. But he also understands the benefits children can reap from the academy's program, which since 1995 has improved fitness and increased self-confidence, discipline, and concentration. Sweating to the oldies is acceptable, but sweating to the blues less so. Do you find that certain styles and genres of music generate more intense workouts?
We sure do. We play all types of styles and genres of music, but mainly hip-hop, R&B, reggaeton, Latin, EDM/techno, country, and some Top 40.
