Recently praised by Encore Michigan, Tipping Point Theatre excites audiences with the drama and intrigue of live, professional equity theater. Audience members clutch seats during The Cocktail Hour as director James Kuhl's featured cast brings to life A.R. Gurney's dark comedic tale, which follows an aspiring playwright who travels home to ask his father's permission to produce a play based upon their family. Madness ensues during a family dinner gone wrong, when they discover their recently hired chef to be inept at preparing a roast.

The Shades of Blue, a quartet of Motown veterans, build upon their 46-year history at each stop of their nationwide tour. The group reassembled in the early 2000s after surviving a series of lineup changes and the format shift from vinyl to earworm, reacquainting ears to their 1966 hit "Oh, How Happy" and performing R & B staples such as "My Girl" and "Stand By Me." Old-school crooners Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs join The Shades of Blue on stage to regale audiences with their chart-topping song "Stay," and new-school song-and-dance troupes Phase 5 and The WhatAbouts pay funky tribute to the musical greats of yore. Also performing, singer Leisa Parham channels the charisma of Motown's legendary divas with her powerful vocal cords and a towering hairdo that grazes chandeliers.

Pump It Up's indoor inflatable arenas launch socked striplings into the air with a plethora of kid-friendly bounce pads. Staffers supervise fun-filled visits, during which adult counterparts leap around with their kids through gargantuan bounce houses, skip down air-filled slides, and slither like snakes covered in bacon grease through an inflated obstacle course.

The colorful venue also hosts custom birthday parties and private team parties, each themed to please the partygoers in question. These soirees immerse children in a schedule of interactive activities while melting off youthful energy faster than ice cubes thrown into a running DVD player. The birthday boy or girl even gets to blow out the candles on their cake seated in their blow-up throne. Relying on the staffers' vigilant, watchful eyes, guardians can rest assured that their charges will stay safe, and each piece of the inflatable playground is held to the floor and one to the ceiling by a complex series of anchors installed according to strict safety standards.

In 1995, Michigan Classic Ballet Company achieved honor status–the highest distinction granted–from Regional Dance America, a national association. The recognition was notable enough, but even more remarkably, the company was only six years old at the time. They took their newfound title to heart–since then, under the leadership of founder and artistic director Mary C. Geiger, Michigan Classic Ballet Company has produced lauded performances including The Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf, and Swan Lake. From welcoming acclaimed choreographers who produce original works to founding outreach programs for youth, the company lives out its mission to promote an appreciation of ballet in the community.

Dipson Theatres celebrates a reputation as a regional movie institution with a network of 9 locations lighting 46 silver screens across Michigan, New York, and Pennsylvania. Though the company now spreads across the northeast United States, it began in the small city of Batavia, NY, in 1939?a time when movies were called ?picture shows,? Roosevelt was in the White House, and everybody could only see in black and white. Today that tradition underlies the cinematic experience as patrons chomp popcorn and sip sodas, marveling at modern 3-D visual adventures, summer action movies, family-friendly features, or even indie art flicks and footage from world-renowned opera performances.
