Though Orlando expected his trip to Ground Zero to be a meaningful one, it wasn't until afterward that the visit profoundly changed his life. He had snapped some photos of the site, and upon seeing the proofs he was spellbound; their power convinced him to pursue photography professionally. Today he is more likely to be found shooting lovebirds than landmarks, as he mostly channels his passion into capturing weddings. However, the elements of realism that initially inspired Orlando still shape his work; he's been known to catch stolen moments such as a ring bearer scowling as a grownup adjusts his suit buttons, and a bride beaming as she gets a first glimpse of her freshly applied makeup. Like an alarm clock that gives wet willies, his style has not gone unnoticed—Orlando boasts Bride's Choice Awards from WeddingWire for 2010, 2011, and 2012.
Before he ran his own studio, Andrew Foord exclusively took photos of only two models: his wife and son. They encouraged him to turn his behind-the-lens hobby into a career, and soon Andrew Foord Photography was born. Rather than a simple point-and-shoot approach, Andrew creates artistic portraits of his male and female clients by using dramatic sets, poses, and lighting. During workshops, he teaches those lighting skills to amateur photographers, as well as his favorite techniques for retouching images in Adobe Photoshop.
The color purple can symbolize royalty or nobility, and Purple Carpet Entertainment kept that in mind when choosing its striking signature textiles. It provides event rentals and services that can heighten a festive event to the level of Hollywood royalty, with custom red-carpet-style backdrops, striking theatrical lighting, DJs, emcees, and vacuum cleaners cleverly disguised as Sharon Stone’s cousin Jeremy.
Jaquis Saylor began his career in fashion by designing his own line, Green Grape Clothing. But soon photographing models piqued his creativity more than dressing them. So he ditched his sewing kit for a camera and taught himself the ins and outs of photography. At Green Grape Photography, Jaquis's runway and editorial experience led to his specialty: building the portfolios of up-and-coming models with sessions that include makeup, up to four looks, and high-resolution images. In addition to fashion shoots, he snaps photos for glamour and pinup sessions, as well as events and family portraits.
The pearly white of a toddler’s first tooth. The glow of a young woman’s cheeks on her sixteenth birthday. These are the things that Classic Imaging Photography’s experts seek to capture with a deft click of the shutter. The professional photographers position subjects during in-studio shoots or go on-location to snap images of newly engaged couples in the park where they met or defeated a rival family of swans. The shutterbugs also photograph or capture video of cake-cuttings and dances at landmark events, attempting to stay quietly in the background all the while. To generate souvenirs and bolster revelry, the crew also brings photo booths to parties.
