The interior of a business can affect how its customers feel. What kind of decor do you use to help make your clients feel pampered and at ease?
We are a classy and clean, up scale full service salon. We play relaxing music in the treatment rooms, and offer complimentary beverages.
What is the best reaction you?ve ever gotten from a client?
I take a lot of time and care to connect with each client and relate to them on a personal level. I often receive a hug at the end of the service, just because they are so happy that they were able to feel so at ease and comfortable with me and the service.
What steps do you take to make your clients feel at ease?
My number one priority is for my client to feel completely comfortable and at ease with me performing their service. I take my time to answer any questions and to explain the service to the client.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
This is a full service salon that can accommodate any needs you may have.
Melissa Lydell turns outdated or overgrown hairdos into healthy, well-coifed masterpieces inside of Mar-Don Hair Fashions. With a steady hand and keen eye, Lydell clips and trims each strand until they fall together at a length and cut that accentuates the client’s face and personal style. She also offers deep-conditioning treatments as well as highlights that infuse each head of hair with a fashionable, youthful personality.
At The Strand at Sola Salons, the deft and generous fingers of stylists Abby and Michele attend to scalps with relaxing, massaging movements. This supplemental courtesy, which accommodates every haircut, evidences the duo’s commitment to client satisfaction. Abby and Michele don’t just rush through services; rather, they take time to listen to clients before administering signature cuts, colorings, or keratin smoothing treatments. In this way, they not only achieve unique and classic styles—they also generate good karma with clients so they can form long-term relationships and eventually be reincarnated in the form of well-groomed poodles.
Schafer Studios' namesake and owner, Alan Schafer, knows the ins and outs of hair care. This comes from more than 20 years of crafting stylish looks and a knack for talking strands down from particularly bad hair days. He’s joined by aesthetician Mary Simpson, who counts actresses Halle Berry and Melanie Griffith as previous clients. No star credentials are required, however, to book her for a facial, wax, or tinting service.
Donna Harris, owner of Oregon's Grand SalonSpa, has more than 15 years of experience as an aesthetician. At Oregon's Grand SalonSpa, Donna and her team pamper clients with a range of spa services that include hot stone massage, Shellac manicures, and eyebrow waxing. With a bevy of soothing and beauty-boosting services, Tru Awakenings' glamour gurus trim tresses, unclog pores, and strengthen muscles worn out from digging ditches in the living room. To manage unruly follicles, customers can sign up for haircuts (up to $55), coloring ($30+), and straightening ($85+). Those seeking to liberate their hides from oppressive hairarchies can ask an expert epilator for a waxing treatment (up to $60). Wrinkles and fine lines are forced to resign by an assortment of facials and chemical peels that recharge drained faces ($15+), and hand and foot paraffin treatments soften extremities and shield nails from your neighbor's nibbly teeth ($10 each). Visitors can also let one of the spa's muscle technicians banish toxins and dispel stress with a therapeutic, deep tissue, or hot-stone massage ($45+).
