During any class, motivational instructors will use the instinctual distrust of routine to their advantage. Begin a day of litigating with a refreshing early-morning boot-camp session, or wind down by burning evidence and pounds with a late-evening yoga class. Muscles are kept guessing with new and challenging moves during each session, so participants never fall into a boring, ineffective routine, such as regular teeth brushing. In addition to the fitness classes, students receive a success guide to help prepare for imminent pound loss, a nutrition guide, and a $100 gift certificate for individual coaching. Because the pass sets a 10-class cap at any given location, roving fitness mavens can further shake up their workout regimens by vetting a series of classes or instructors that work best for them.

Before Art Stone was head of Total Woman Gym & Spa, he ran a chain of salons. His female clientele loved their custom cuts, but California had no shortage of stylists—what they really struggled to find was day-spa pampering and weight-loss assistance, all in one spot. Founders Kara Collier and Jasmine Buczek wanted to create a place where anyone could dedicate themselves to health and fitness. To do that, they drew up a recipe that included certified trainers able to work with people of all fitness levels, ages, and experience; an inviting space equipped with all high-end weight and cardio training equipment; and a dash of stylish locker rooms with showers. Next, they mixed in some Classes including spinning, yoga, and Aeroba-cize, which uses dance moves to build overall strength.

In 2005 they they threw the whole thing in the oven and baked up All In One Fitness. There, they make overall health the focus. Every new member gets a comprehensive fitness assessment and accurate BMI measurements. Once clients get into their regimen, trainers start regularly tracking changes with the Integrated functional Coaching System to keep goals in sight. All In One Fitness also offers weight loss programs and personal training complete with packages tailored to each client's requirement. The fitness gurus work one-on-one or with small groups to hone in on weight loss, prepare them for running a marathon, or just start off on the path to living a healthier lifestyle.

Fitness industry veteran Dulcinea Lee Hellings's goal is to bring a high-quality, effective exercise regimen to people who don't love big gyms or can't afford personal trainers. In 2004, she realized that mornings could be used for more than hitting the snooze button over and over for two hours, and founded Boot Camp "Morning Crunch!" to help fledgling exercisers whip into shape.

She designs her all-levels programs to be scream-free morning motivators⎯the first stop in her patrons' journey of daily accomplishments. The fast-paced, ever-changing circuit of strength and cardio exercises keeps bodies guessing and minds from becoming bored. Each of the boot camp's 12 outdoor locations has a different dedicated trainer who gets to know each student personally, remembering their names and memorizing any interesting freckle patterns. They complement their morning routines with a smattering of evening options for those who prefer to work out after the day's activities.
