Contours Express Imperial is a women's gym that helps clients meet their health goals with carefully balanced fitness and dietary regimens. The gym's signature workout includes cardiovascular and anaerobic circuits that yield slimmer, stronger muscles in 29 minutes. Committed to providing positive motivation, personal trainers lend a helping hand without challenging clients to arm-wrestling matches, while skilled teachers guide participants through boot-camp sessions and classes such as yoga and Pilates. In the gym, free weights and weight-bearing machines help women maintain bone density, thereby decreasing the risk of osteoporosis.:m]]
The certified trainers at Phase 5 Personal Training believe the human body is more efficient than any gym machine. Using each client’s body weight for resistance, instructors in small-group boot camps lead clients through cardio workouts, agility training, and plyometrics exercises held at this laid-back studio.
Tom Kavanaugh draws from his personal-training experience to craft a varied workout regimen to push patrons of all skill levels to strengthen and tone their entire bodies. Up to 30 boot campers band together to burn fat and tone physiques outdoors with Tom, moving indoors in the event of inclement weather. Joining in on the calorie burning, Tom throws himself into the high-intensity workouts, performing the strength training, plyometrics, core work, and high-intensity cardio exercises alongside his students rather than barking instructions from the sidelines. After blasting through routines of pushups, sit-ups, and jumping, each Saturday class culminates in up to 15–20 minutes of play time, challenging students to games of dodge ball, kickball, or full-contact checkers.
Though B3 Fitness Studio's roster of classes may look modest, the fitness center meets the needs of all variety of exercisers. BarreAmped classes lengthen the body with repetition of minute, dance-inspired moves, whereas Insanity classes land at the other end of the workout spectrum with nonstop, intense cardio and plyometric conditioning. Boot camp pulls in a bit of everything—calisthenics, body-weight exercises, interval and strength training—and yoga sticks to slow, flowing movements linked with breath.
A women's fitness spa offering a variety of cardio & weight equipment, personal training, zumba, cardio kick boxing, facial & massage treatments, far infrared dry sauna, whole body vibration technology, and teeth whitening service.
Even before he founded PowerFit Bootcamp, JR Spear always felt a calling to transform people into fitness machines. A fourth-degree black belt and studied martial artist, Spear spent years training future Marine Corps officers and Iraqi soldiers in self-defense and combat skills. Later, Spear taught his own MMA fitness and cardio-kickboxing classes, along with personal and group training sessions.
At PowerFit Bootcamp, he and his staff of fitness instructors encourage each student to persevere by leading motivational and high-energy classes. At 12 indoor and outdoor locations, students undergo full-body workouts designed to jettison fat and tone muscle. Trainers welcome students of all stripes, giving them a period of time to complete each move, rather than a number of repetitions, encouraging each student to do as much as he or she can without feeling uncomfortable, overexerting, or resorting to time travel. Along the way, coaches track progress and motivate students by noting benchmarks during physical fitness tests on the first Monday and Tuesday of each month.
