An expert at helping people look their best, Maryanne Giannini has worked in the beauty industry for more than 35 years. When she opened Dazzlz Spa Salon in 1991, Giannini assembled a staff that shared her passion, talents, and telekinetic control over hair dryers. She eventually hired more than 10 stylists and nail technicians, many of whom have decades of experience in areas such as hair color, makeup application, and mani-pedis. Amid the salon’s dark-brown and red walls, this professional staff works with its clients—men, women, and children—to sculpt haircuts that complement hair types and lifestyles. When not working at salon chairs, the staff members escort clients into private treatment rooms where they massage muscles and enclose bodies in shoulder-to-toe wraps.
Alliance For Wellness's team of licensed massage therapists alleviates stress with holistic massage and wellness treatments in an elegant treatment center. Upon entering the restored Victorian home turned relaxation hub, guests are led to spacious treatment rooms outfitted with heated and padded treatment tables, also useful for catnapping or incubating valuable dragon eggs. Clients get a choice from more than 10 massage modalities, including deep tissue, aromatherapy, and raindrop, which incorporates nine essential oils to revivify grey matter and balance discombobulated bodies.

The instructors at Ocean County Massage Institute understand that a great massage requires equal parts science and skill. That's why the business offers classes where students can apprentice for six months at the 1,000-square-foot facility, soaking up training from certified reiki, energy therapy, yoga, and acupressure practitioners. Inside the air-conditioned studio, students from a wide variety of backgrounds come together to learn a curriculum that includes massage history and ethics, as well as body mechanics, physiology, and business skills. All students must also complete 165 hours of clinical table experience to earn their license. Already licensed and experienced massage therapists also staff the Institute to soothe clients with a variety of massage modalities and bedtime nursery rhymes.
