Under his encouraging eye, clients build muscle, burn fat, and boost endurance in order to run a marathon or qualify for a spot on the full-contact debate team.
Fit For Life Bootcamp?s seasoned instructors replace drill-sergeant screams with encouraging mantras in their one-hour indoor classes that welcome clients of all fitness levels. During sessions, trainers round out weightlifting sessions, resistance drills, and core workouts with cardio routines such as light running and obstacle courses. They switch up class routines regularly to ensure courses are never the same from day to day, leading wild-card days that incorporate hiking, crawling, and high-stakes Uno games played with 50-pound cards. In addition to bolstering workouts with nutrition guidance, trainers work to cultivate an atmosphere of positive camaraderie designed to push campers further toward their weight-loss goals.

Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
Focusing on our clients' exercise experience is our top priority. Our goal as a business is to have the best retention rates in the industry so we create a uniquely individualized group fitness experience by utilizing the latest in fitness-tracking software. Members are able to get instant feedback on calories burned, heart rate, and exercise heart rate zone percentages. We also offer our members monthly giveaways based on contests related to their monthly exercise achievements.
Do you run your gym according to a particular exercise philosophy?
Our training philosophy is that fitness should support your lifestyle and not that your lifestyle should support your fitness. We promote an active athletic lifestyle and through our fitness-tracking system we are able to integrate outdoor athletic passions of members with their fitness regimens.
What is a typical session of your program or class like for a student?
Fun, challenging, dynamic, and rewarding
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
Sand training has been around for some time. Most all professional sport franchises, Olympic training centers, and top NCAA D-1 programs have sand-training environments. We are the only facility in the US offering members a professional level sand-training studio in a health-club setting. The Sand we use is not beach sand. It is the same professional sand utilized on the pro beach volleyball tour and Olympic Games.
Located in Brickhouse Cardio Club in Oceanside, Yoga at Brickhouse offers yoga classes seven days a week for all skill levels. The updated studio features curtains to softly filter light and provide more privacy as well as candlelight that soothes and relaxes. Though people come to Yoga at Brickhouse for soothing yoga or heart-pumping workouts, they stay for the irresistible international rhythms. Zumba tends to have that effect, ensnaring exercisers with its Latin choreography and dance-party vibe. The floors pulse with 11 Zumba sessions every week, along with energetic Brickhouse Burn toning and sculpting classes and invigorating yoga sessions. The club also hosts Bokwa sessions, embracing the new workout system that finds students tracing the shapes of numbers and letters during dance-like sessions set to booty-shaking beats.
Since its inception, Brickhouse has blossomed into a franchise, expanding into 25 locations with new sites recently opened in the United Kingdom, where it hopes to supplant aerobic chimney sweeping. No matter the location, each club hosts its signature workouts in pared-down studios with the franchise?s familiar electric-blue and neon-green walls surrounding a stage.
