Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
Focusing on our clients' exercise experience is our top priority. Our goal as a business is to have the best retention rates in the industry so we create a uniquely individualized group fitness experience by utilizing the latest in fitness-tracking software. Members are able to get instant feedback on calories burned, heart rate, and exercise heart rate zone percentages. We also offer our members monthly giveaways based on contests related to their monthly exercise achievements.
Do you run your gym according to a particular exercise philosophy?
Our training philosophy is that fitness should support your lifestyle and not that your lifestyle should support your fitness. We promote an active athletic lifestyle and through our fitness-tracking system we are able to integrate outdoor athletic passions of members with their fitness regimens.
What is a typical session of your program or class like for a student?
Fun, challenging, dynamic, and rewarding
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
Sand training has been around for some time. Most all professional sport franchises, Olympic training centers, and top NCAA D-1 programs have sand-training environments. We are the only facility in the US offering members a professional level sand-training studio in a health-club setting. The Sand we use is not beach sand. It is the same professional sand utilized on the pro beach volleyball tour and Olympic Games.
At Way of Life Boot Camp, fitness is seen as a way to get both slimmer and mentally stronger. Drawing on his background in martial arts, founder Forrest Folen emphasizes focus, discipline, and attention to the mind-body connection in each workout. During classes, exercisers speed through circuit-style workouts to jump-start weight loss, and can later attend nutritional counseling sessions and receive dietician-approved meal plans. Boot-camp programs strive to build a sense of community among clients, who can meet monthly for 5K runs and earn colored wristbands—similar to martial-arts belts or Green Lantern power rings—that signify students' progress in their fitness journeys.
The coaches at Pariah Crossfit consider each student an athlete, regardless of fitness ability. With that distinction, however, comes work?lots of it. The coaches lead small groups and individuals through a lineup of intense exercises, which rotate daily and may include everything from Olympic weightlifting and tire flipping to rope climbing and rowing. To ensure nobody is left behind, they tailor each workout to match fitness levels, as well as foster an attitude of support and accountability amongst all the members. They even offer nutritional counseling to make sure diets work synergistically with exercise regimens.
