Whirlybird Helicopters’ FAA-certified pilots take to the sky for an array of services—from crop dusting to cattle herding to aerial photography. During flight training classes, they provide one-on-one instruction while introducing students to real-life situations aboard a Cessna 172 airplane or Enstrom or Robinson helicopters. Pilots also jettison guests high above the city for 10- to 60-minute helicopter tours, which take in sprawling views of the Ogden Canyon, Wasatch Mountains, and more.
Mountain Ridge Helicopters is located 4,500 feet above sea level—and that's just its hangar. The FAA-approved school is nestled in the Rocky Mountains in a 10,000-square-foot hangar, where experienced pilots impart the essentials of helicopter flight to students. The scenic environs are beautiful from the ground but majestic from a helicopter. With the help of US Department of Veterans Affairs–approved flight instructors and simulators, students can experience the sweeping views from above while learning to pilot helicopters and earning their licenses.
All instructors at Cavorite Aviation have a minimum of four years teaching experience, and draw from this know-how to provide their students with fun and flexible lessons. Learning takes place both on the ground and in the air, behind the controls of an Alrus CH2T Trainer, a top quality aircraft that provides students with a safe learning environment.
