Auto Care Super Saver relieves car owners of some expenses and fretting with a bundle of maintenance services redeemable over the course of a full year. ASE-certified technicians keep joyrides running smoothly with three oil changes, which include up to 5 quarts of oil, lube, and a new filter. Weary roadsters also enjoy two tire rotations to even out wear and tear on the treads. The included brake inspection reveals any problems with the braking system, such as the inability to detect stop signs, and can gain customers up to a $60 discount on any brake servicing. Customers can unleash the services on any one of their foreign or domestic vehicles—whether they be station wagons, sports cars, or feral merry-go-round mounts—and most services take approximately 30 minutes, depending on vehicle type. The punch card also grants clients up to $75 off repairs costing over $500.
At The Detailer, owners Matt and Brandi Snedden draw on more than 24 years of auto-industry experience to meet drivers’ cosmetic car needs. Performing a comprehensive menu of detailing services, the specialized technicians take care to hand wash paint and use chamois to delicately dry droplets like a concerned pet owner catching its lizard’s tears. The expert staff includes two paint-and-body specialists who handle aesthetic requests such as paint correction and restoration, as well as an audio/video technician who installs high-tech upgrades, including GPS navigation and remote car starters. All of Detailer's services are available on location, or techs will travel to homes or offices with the shop’s mobile unit in tow, allowing customers to easily fit maintenance-and-upkeep measures into their schedules.
The highly trained technicians at Jiffy Lube tend to about 24 million customers each year with services such as the Jiffy Lube Signature Service Oil-Change package, which helps promote the longevity of each vehicle. Staffers acknowledge that oil plays a crucial role in maximizing the lifespan of each car—it cools the motor and helps prevent moving parts from deteriorating. More than 20,000 technicians—all of which have completed an extensive training program certified by the National Institute Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)—service vehicles at Jiffy Lube.
In addition to performing oil changes, technicians offer preventative services such as air-filtration and electrical-system maintenance, among others. Jiffy Lube’s quality pledge includes a commitment to transparency, which stipulates that they will inform car owners of any necessary services, complete a service only after it has been approved, and refuse to replace windshields with saran wrap.
What makes your business stand out?
The service! We want the car wash experience to be a destination and not just a chore. That's why we make your visit a personal one. We interact with our customers more than the average car wash. We pride ourselves in bringing the fun back to car washing. Most of our business is repeat business, and from customers that have been coming to Hank's since we first opened. We are the only car wash in Broken Arrow with The Foam Wall (available on our $16 Ultimate Wash Experience). This is why we are Broken Arrow's Favorite Car Wash.
What inspired you to run this business?
I have worked here for over two years and love working here because of how important we make the customer. They are not just a number—they have a name. I love it because we strive for excellence at all times, and aren't satisfied with mediocrity. We are always trying to improve and get the cleanest car possible while also having the best value in town.
What is your most popular offering?
Our VIP Monthly Club Card. With it, you can wash any vehicle you want up to 10 times a month for one monthly charge. Prices start as low as $15 month. Unlike most car washes, we give you the option of choosing from all of our wash packages and allow you to wash more than just one vehicle. We have also had many contests on Facebook, with prizes ranging from manicures, pedicures, massages, local business's gift cards, a year's worth of free car washing, and other exclusive deals and offers. We now offer a $3 Quick Wash every day of the week. Wacky Wednesday [is also popular.] Our new promotion is that our $16 and $12 washes are $3 off every Wednesday.
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer?
Our best compliments are always about our employees. They tell us that we have the friendliest staff. We also love that our customers say that their vehicle shines brighter when they visit Hank's as opposed to other car washes in the area.
What’s your favorite part about your job?
[My] favorite part of the job is being able to be an integral part of the Broken Arrow community and establishing relationships with our customers. I love interacting with our customers and helping to bring a smile to their day. Knowing that I am treating every customer like family makes me smile and makes me feel like what we are doing is successful. That's why a motto we go by here is "a business that makes nothing but money is a poor business."
Falafel, kabobs, shawarma, and tabouli cover Olive Branch's menu like moss on a mostly buried Mons Meg. Preheat your appetite with superbly blended chickpeas; hummus ($5.29) blended with Mediterranean spices, fresh parsley, and onions is Olive Branch's specialty. Traditional gyros ($5.99) can be concocted with chicken ($8.74) or fresh vegetables ($7.99). Or throw a pita like a Frisbee into the depths of an open cistern and grab meat-and-vegetables goodness on a stick instead. The beef ($9.69), chicken ($8.99), and lamb ($10.99) kabobs are towering vegetable stacks seasoned with savory Mediterranean spices. Fork flaky baklava ($3.99 for four pieces) and sip strong Turkish coffee ($1.79) to treat taste buds to a combination more complimentary than dancing while juggling cats.
