Q&A with Donna Mezzina, Yoga Solace Club Director

Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
We offer a variety of class levels and yoga styles for our students. You can start out at your appropriate level and move on to more challenging classes or different styles. Our instructors frequently attend additional training and apply their knowledge of new techniques to their classes. We also offer workshops, series and events.

Sweating to the oldies is acceptable, but sweating to the blues less so. Do you find that certain styles and genres of music generate more intense workouts?
We utilize a variety of music to establish the proper tone for the class. Many of our teachers also read a daily inspirational quote to their students.

Besides working out, what else can clients do to spend their time at your facility?
Our vision is to offer a full yoga studio at a lower cost that includes amenities such as a sauna, a steam room, and a juice bar, as well as gym access and child care. Massages are also available in our adjacent spa.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
We hope to bring affordable yoga to the community in a more serious and dedicated fashion. When introduced to yoga in this way, you will grow in your practice and appreciate its benefits.
