Though they operate more than 200 locations in upwards of 30 states, the team behind U.S. Baseball Academy aims to make each young athlete's experience a personal one. Their four- or six-week camps are taught by local instructors who are current or former coaches at the high school or college level, and typically offer a 6:1 or better player-to-teacher ratio for intense, professional-style training. The Academy's proven itinerary of hitting, pitching, fielding, and baserunning drills was developed by an advisory board of college coaches and Major League players, including Cy Young Award?winner and ace pitcher Brandon Webb.

In their inaugural year as the Short-Season A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, the Doubledays swing lumber, flash leather, and fling heaters under the lights of Falcon Park from June 18 until September 2. From the camaraderie-packed confines of general-admission seats, fans join cheering spectators at any of the Doubledays' 2011 games, including promotional dates and events such as post-game fireworks, $1 Thursdays, and Take Your Catcher to Work Day. Replete with a new roster and skipper, the club gears up to emulate the champagne-showered success of the 2007 squad, which captured the New York–Penn League championship after winning its division for the sixth straight year.
Even as bears hibernate for the winter or squirrels hide in rubber trees when it rains, humans don’t need to stop being active during inclement weather. Within the walls of The Stadium’s family-friendly activity center, visitors can revel in activities such as dodge ball, indoor batting cages, and a golf simulator. Kids can also keep creditors off their back with bouts of laser tag, frolic in the bounce house, or get together for birthday parties or sleepovers in a safe, supervised environment.
