Under the chiropractic guidance of Dr. Kim Reddick, Complete Wellness Center’s Licensed Massage Therapist Sharon Guest employs her extensive massage education and experience to tenderize tissues and melt muscular stress and pain. A one-hour raindrop session steeps backs and feet in a blend of seven essential oils and swathes clients with steamy hot towels before custom-tailored kneads and ancient sorcery vaporize muscular tension and inflammation. Alternatively, the long and flowing strokes of a Swedish massage follow a classic rubdown recipe. The soothing pressure and trigger-point pokes of a deep-tissue rubdown allow the therapist to dive into aching muscles to access pain, injuries, and the Cracker Jack prize that the stork hides in all of us. Like bullies in a middle-school lunchroom, the sports massage targets the weakest tissues, as the therapist douses muscles with moist heat and essential oil to pilfer tension, spasms, cramping, and lunch money.
The instructors at Rumba Fitness pair Zumba's Latin-inspired dance steps with international music seven days a week. With a total of 17 classes, they range from no-frills dance-party workouts to Zumba Toning. The latter blends cardio and resistance exercises with lightweight, maraca-shaped hand weights to chisel muscles.
In lieu of weights, Zumba Sentao increases the challenge by incorporating a chair as a kind of dance partner that facilitate squats and never gets fresh like most other chairs. Rumba Fitness also features a kids' lounge, where children four or older can play while their parents dance.

Nestled in the shadows of towering trees, golfers traverse the arboreal alleyways of DeLand Country Club’s course across 18 holes of challenging golf. Throughout the course, mature oaks and pines stalk the edges of fairways, flexing their branches ominously and making menacing shadow puppets with their twiggy fingers in an attempt to break the focus of golfers. The subtle slopes of the rolling course place a high premium on golfers’ capacity to cleanly strike balls off of uneven surfaces, and greenside bunkers wait to ensnare off-kilter shots. Club-toting twosomes can loop the 18-hole course astride an efficient golf cart, which helps hunt down balls while proffering incisive commentary about the universally strained relationship between carts and caddies.
Renowned golf-course architect Bobby Weed aims to fill his courses with the kind of rich details typically produced only by Mother Nature herself. His 2008 overhaul of The Deltona Club completely transformed the course: today, blowout-style native-sand bunkers bear roughly scalloped edges that call to mind a raw desert landscape, and the elevation rises in craggy steps as the course progresses, giving players a sense of conquering the land itself. The course's resulting beauty, sense of challenge, and secret bonus level snagged the club a spot on Golfweek's list of best Florida courses in 2012.
Jessica, the mastermind behind Goddess Rising Fitness, began her fitness journey after losing her job of 11 years and deciding to try something new. She started Goddess Rising Fitness in 2010, when she rented studio space for an hour a week to teach a sexy chair-dancing class. Today, Jessica and her team of dance-trained instructors lead more than 15 weekly classes, which include high-energy Zumba classes, relaxing yoga, and strength-building “bombshell ballers” classes using stability balls. She offers Zumbatomic classes that get kids ages 4–12 dancing to age-appropriate tunes and working on age-appropriate long division problems. She also leads six-week boot-camp sessions that aim to help guests lose weight and build strength with functional exercises, weekly weigh-ins, and food journals.
