Classic Fun Center's Layton facility shelters its various attractions in a pirate-themed playground. Guests can rack up strikes on the mini-bowling lanes or ascend a three-story rock wall. The park also hosts a bounce area with inflatable slides and obstacles courses, as well as an arcade with more than 50 games such as skee-ball and Deal or No Deal, where kids teach the computer how to pinky swear. Guests at Classic Fun Center's Riverdale location can cool off on the water park's four 300-foot slides, super-sized "fat" slide, kiddie splash ground, or inflatable slip-n-slide.
A trio of black-belted Moras sisters lead the diverse fitness curriculum at Amys Martial Arts. Melany, Amely, and Samy blend the disciplined technique they?ve displayed in national, collegiate, and international martial-arts competitions with coaching and referee experience as they teach students aged 3 and older. Children's tae-kwon-do classes develop motor skills, balance, and a positive attitude, and tumbling sessions develop the sense of balance needed to roll, cartwheel, and handspring. Adults can explore the physical and mental benefits of tae kwon do's full-body workout or jump-start their heart rate with kickboxing, Zumba, or imagining how they?d use tae kwon do to fend off a pack of wild rabbits.
"This is your 'let's be realistic but also make it simple and enjoyable' kind of health company!" Health Movement declares on its website, differentiating itself from its competitors. That's because the company swaps out diet drinks and weight-loss supplements for a program that focuses on mindful eating and combating emotional eating with exercise and plenty of sleep. It recognizes the importance of consistency when seeking long-lasting weight loss and works with each client to help meet goals.
The company's dedication to health shines through in its community involvement, too. Health Movement donates 5% of its profits to its community program, which funds projects including playgrounds and community gardens.
After years of training and diving around the world, owners Colby, Darren, and Tony decided to spread their love of scuba by opening North American Divers. They instruct classes such as Discover Scuba Diving, where be-finned students try breathing underwater for the first time. During Advanced Open Water classes, more experienced divers earn certification across five dives at locales such as Sand Hollow and the California Channel Islands. They also rent out gear such as regulators, oxygen tanks, and wetsuits. Additionally, the trio’s team of in-house certified technicians fixes nearly all makes and models of scuba and snorkeling equipment with a simple twitch of their nose.
Event hosts can quickly and easily decorate the walls inside Big Screen Event Center, a facility that hosts business meetings, banquets, birthday parties, and other types of gatherings. That's because projectors display custom images, videos, and presentations on 12 massive screens. Rentals of the space also include use of the sound system, tables and chairs, the kitchen area, and devices such as Xbox Kinect game systems and disco balls. The larger room holds up to 200 people seated in chairs, up to 105 seated classroom-style, and up to 175 seated at banquet tables—or nearly three times that many if you force family members to sit on each other's shoulders.
