Helmed by owner and lead trainer Mathew Gover, EXL Fitness’s muscle mavens whip participants into shape during four weeks of intensive, yet beginner-friendly boot camps that work in conjunction with nutrition plans and at-home programs. New campers are first introduced to the program during a 90-minute orientation, where participants of all body types learn about proper warm-up methods and the season’s latest spandex trends. Then, trainers lead teams through metabolic-burgeoning workouts that employ the use of medicine balls, kettlebells, and free weights. With a multifaceted focus on injury prevention, at-home nutrition, cardio health, and personal accountability, the four-week course is designed to help participants tone physiques and master Jesse Ventura impersonations in a timely fashion. Boot camps with a strength-training emphasis are held on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 6 a.m., 7 a.m., and 5:30 p.m. while cardio-focused camps are held on Tuesday and Thursdays at 6:30 a.m., 7 a.m., and 6 p.m. EXL Fitness also offers a course exclusively for women at 9 a.m. daily.
