Now as owner and head instructor of Adventure Boot Camp, Labonte motivates her students by sharing her own experiences and helping students work through common daily obstacles to weight loss. Even though she’s an experienced athlete, she doesn't expect her students to run a 100 miles or dead-lift her entire collection of gym shoes. Instead, her boot-camp classes are designed for women of all fitness levels, and she strives to leave no one behind during the one-hour sessions. During one-hour morning and evening boot-camp classes, Labonte engages students with a range of endurance and old-fashioned strength-building exercises, such as jump roping and sports drills. To ensure each student experiences the full benefit of the class, the instructors take confidential measurements of midsections and body fat and consult medical history. This information allows them to conduct workouts accordingly and lets students track their progress.
