Programs After School takes an artistic approach to science, technology, engineering, and math. To get to the moon, they argue, a scientist must first draw the path, imagine the vehicle, and design the components. All the better if those steps can be accomplished without wasting precious or rare manufacturing materials. They only way to accomplish such a feat is through visual art.
The teachers uses blend of Montessori and Waldorf methods, pitching simple, fun activities to students to get them engaged. They report that most of the learning in their classrooms almost feels like an accident on the student's part, since they're just engaged in making art and having fun. Through the fun, they engage with topics such as space exploration, the natural world, and the techniques of painting masters of yore.
Silver Tutoring's Jacob Silver believes a tutor should only work in his or her best subjects, and for him that means math and English. He's a master of areas such as algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus. In the writing realm, his expertise is in grammar and composition rules. During private sessions, Jacob works with kids towards their understanding of these subjects. He can also tutor online.
The staff members at Sylvan Learning's numerous centers understand that each child learns differently. Therefore, they don’t try to implement a uniform tutoring system; instead, they design custom lesson programs based on the results of a skills assessment using diagnostic tools and one-on-one interviews.
Tutors work with students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, illuminating topics ranging from basic reading and writing to remembering complex algebraic formulas without having them tattooed on your chest. Many of Sylvan’s instructors work in local schools, so they are intimately familiar with common curricula and understand how to gear lessons toward optimal results. Camps and after-school and summer classes can ready high-schoolers for the rigors of the ACT or the SAT, or they can help students to wow college-admissions officers with their superior essay-writing skills.

The Abacus Mind Math program accommodates kids in two age groups: junior (ages 5?6) and senior (ages 7?12). The ALOHA reading and writing program teaches kids in grades 1?5 while the ALOHA Champ program is an English program, meticulously designed for very young children between the age of 5 and 6.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring? At the time of registration, students would be provided all the required material, be it Abacus Mind Math or the English reading/writing program.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? I am very passionate about teaching kids and seeing them excel in their math and English and other things at school.
