The talented staffers at Another Wild Hair, a Paul Mitchell Signature Salon, keep bodies beautiful with a coterie of hair, makeup, and waxing services. Continually trained by Paul Mitchell educators, master stylists frame faces underneath expert cuts, complemented by other hair services such as styling, coloring, highlights, and deep conditioning with Paul Mitchell products. They elongate strands with 100% human-hair extensions and decorate visages for everyday events or special occasions with makeup services, facial waxing, and eyelash extensions. Another Wild Hair, much like presents in the Christmas dimension, keeps the salon open seven days a week.
As a girl, Stevee Danielle would watch professional makeup artists transform her actress mother and her show-business cohorts into glamorous stars. That sparked her interest in the craft, and at the age of 20, she opened her own beauty salon, Stevee Danielle Hair and Makeup. She quickly built out a team of skilled, trained stylists and makeup artists to augment her own talents and form a well-coiffed laser-tag team.
Though Stevee and her crew tackle a slew of services—such as hair cutting and coloring and manicures—in her salon, they specialize in bridal hair and makeup done on location and beautify 8–20 bridal parties per week. Stevee has even appeared on The Morning Blend to discuss her successful traveling wedding services and the latest bridal trend of weaving sparklers into hair.
Stylists at 9037 Salon reach above their heads to pull down their blow dryers, suspended from the ceiling from retractable cords, then use calculated gusts to put the finishing touches on clients' freshly cut and colored manes. Using Davines and Moroccanoil products, stylists add dimension with highlights, rich single-process hues, and a microscopic series of mirrors. Deep-conditioning treatments hydrate and moisturize strands to combat frizz, while keratin treatments fight unwanted kinks in a semi-permanent process.
The salon's modern decor complements stylists’ advanced techniques, with clean, white walls interrupted by exposed-brick accents, blue ductwork, and high-glossed concrete floors. Pops of artwork over the shampoo sinks add a splash of color.
At Pearl MedSpa, Dr. Richard Bailey oversees the clinical but nonsurgical cosmetic treatments that subtly enhance clients' beauty. The doctor and his staff smooth fine lines and acne scars with nonablative AFT lasers, which, unlike more aggressive laser treatments, have mild side effects and little downtime. The staff also fine-tunes mugs with Botox and Juv?derm injections, which can give patients a face lift and reduce the need for surgery or clothespins. Radio-frequency technology gently heats tissue to fight cellulite, and chemical peels and PCA lightly exfoliate fa?ades.
A rotating collection of local artists’ work festoons the walls of Boulevard Salon & Gallery. The canvases’ dazzling colors bounce off the sleek wooden floor as stylists flex their own artistic skills on clients’ manes. They bolster strands with highlights, all-over color, or a dark-to-light ombre effect. They also insert glow sticks and feather extensions into strands for unexpected pops of color, and expertly twist hair into chic updos for special occasions.
An airbrush-tan appointment at Perfect Touch begins with a ritual color selection, when you will be able to choose your desired shade of gold, bronze, or zirconium. Next, clients are escorted into the spray chamber, a tent that tanners can enter nude or clothed in the bikini or bloomers of their choice. An airbrush-wielding technician then evenly glazes the dermis with a cool mist of dye, and in less than 10 minutes the ghostly emerge embronzened. Perfect Touch's dye is quick drying (so there is no need to pat dry, wear dark clothing, or wrap oneself in a rain-shielding armor of cellophane post misting) and contains a high ratio of brown to red tones to prevent orangeing and preserve an authentically human glow.
