Liberty Tax Service's armada of certified public accountants swoops in to rescue taxpayers from the onslaught of numbers, paperwork, and quadratic equations that overwhelms during tax season. Beyond computerized tax preparation and electronic filing during the months preceding April 15, clients can count on the company's expertise during an audit, through a correspondence with the IRS or state agencies, or while finding the best games living inside their graphic calculators. Liberty Tax Service also benefits community members outside of the office by sponsoring Relay for Life, a race benefitting the American Cancer Society, and by collecting unwanted cell phones and sending them to soldiers overseas.
The spectrum of silliness is contained within three Adventure Landing attractions: race on go-karts in front of NASCAR-scout audiences, make a mark on frenemies in laser tag, or saunter and swing on the mini-golf course. (Laser tag is not available at the St. Augustine location.) Attempt each feat before going back for one last round of your two favorites, or use them all on a five-act go-kart play. The freedom of choice applies to how you use your five attractions; however, you must expunge the fun out of this factory's frenetic free-for-all in a single visit, making it a convenient way to happily exhaust over-energized tweens and tots.
The scene is a familiar one: hotel guests lounge beside the outdoor pool as staff members filter around, offering refreshments or collecting clients for a spa treatment. However, at Pet Paradise, the pool is bone shaped and all the guests are dogs. This luxurious scene is one cat and dog owners can find at this boarding and daycare facility that has been owner Fred Goldsmith's pride and joy for a decade. The animal lover was inspired to start his own pet hotel when he simply couldn’t find a place he was comfortable leaving his bichon frise when he went on vacation.
Fred made Pet Paradise to his exact specifications, and the pet hotel's amenities reflect the loving care he lavishes on his own beloved pup. Dogs and cats can luxuriate in spa-quality grooming treatments or burn off some energy during group playtime. In the evening, pets can settle into plush bedding and feel safe knowing that the dedicated live-in staff resides just a bark away. Nocturnal kitties spend the night exploring their own private six-level cat condos while gentle spa music fills the air to keep them entertained. In case of any emergencies, Pet Paradise keeps veterinarians on-call, and in the event of a snack emergency, each staff member is a certified bacon cook.
Legacy Tours highlight the architectural heritage of the former Hotel Ponce de Leon, a nationally designated historic landmark building, built by Henry Flagler in 1888. Now the home of Flagler College, this beautiful Spanish Revival structure represents proof that preserving the past is compatible with modern urban life.
Silke Schröder's canine haven hosts dog-training classes, grooming sessions, doggie daycare, and overnight guests in spacious luxury suites. Among Silke's many dog-whispering accomplishments, the German-born-and-raised dog trainer placed second at the 2001 German Northern States Dog Sporting Championship, qualified for the 2005 USDAA Agility World Championships, and has racked up years of professional experience training pups of all ages and breeds in basic obedience and agility using an upbeat and positive approach. Her diverse roster of classes ranges from basic puppy obedience to Canine Good Citizen courses, in which dogs learn to behave in public, around other dogs, and before Queen Elizabeth's corgi ambassadors.
Shaded by thick, moss-strewn trees, Pet Camp's outdoor play area provides plenty of room for carefree romps and organized activities with the pack for daycare visitors, and boarders can recover from games of Red Rover inside the 2,700-square-foot, climate-controlled kennel. Four-footed guests can stage a sweet-smelling reunion with their owners after a Hydrosuge bath, brush, or trim at the grooming center
To say that Far Fetched Tales' head trainer, Pamela, has a way with animals would be a major understatement. Her 30 years of experience include time spent working on a farm and showing and training horses, and her own prized corgis, Harley and Jo Dee have won seven national titles combined. Throughout her career, Pamela has helped well-meaning dogs overcome a variety of behavioral issues, from jumping and chewing to separation anxiety and poker addictions, using techniques that focus on positive reinforcement. Beyond training neighborhood pooches to sit and stay, Pamela also offers agility training for pets and owners who are interested in qualifying for competitions, as well as pet sitting and training for service and therapy dogs.
