Espresso. Complimentary WiFi. Flat-screen TV. If not for its name, Jupiter Inlet Car Wash might seem more like an upscale coffeehouse than a car wash. Yet a deep delve into the environmentally conscious station reveals water-saving systems that reclaim rainwater, green soaps and chemicals, and 100% recycled paper products working together to restore vehicles to their showroom shine. The shop bundles their extensive wash and detail services into convenient packages, and offers a range of à la carte treatments, including paintless dent removal and headlight restoration.
While cars enjoy their baths, drivers can retreat to the comfortable indoor and outdoor seating areas and recharge with a free cappuccino or chai tea from the espresso bar. Bright-green walls and sleek wooden floors line the onsite Island Boutique, where pristine white shelves and marble countertops host a range of items, from clothing and handbags to home accessories and hand-painted watercolors of maps and mechanic pinups by artist William Johnson Jr.
A 125-foot automatic wash tunnel is the bread and butter at each of Motor City Car Wash’s three locations. The system, which uses light-touch soft cloths and 60% recycled and filtered water, effectively cleans cars from roof to underbelly without damaging the paint. Drivers can choose one of four car-wash packages, such as the Basic—a wash, power dry, and hand finish—or the Works, complete with an exterior dressing and a Rain-X windshield treatment. After rolling through the tunnel, cars can pull up to a uniformed technician to be lavished with praise for their new and shiny look, or to be detailed with Meguiar's products. Motor City backs all of its services with a 48-hour re-wash policy.
