Team Nogueira is dedicated to the highest quality of martial arts training. We are committed to continually enhancing our program to address exercise, drills, safety tips and a realistic approach to self-defense situations. We Build Confidence Through Achievement.
Team Nogueira is a proud bully-free zone. The instructors lead students of all ages through self-defense and martial-arts classes, encouraging youngsters to build self-confidence, strength, and respect. Adults build on the same techniques during martial-arts programs.
All of the instructors at Legacy Mixed Martial Arts do indeed take on a legacy. They are taught by founder Sensei Cameron to preserve his style of training, passing it on to their students in an undiluted form—a practice that is less possible at chain martial-arts schools.
This method ensures a high level of training, regardless of the martial-arts style. Kids' karate classes, for example, mix the strikes of tae kwon do with kickboxing and submission grappling, and MMA sessions for adults include full-contact drills that incorporate muay thai and jujitsu techniques. Instructors also lead aikido and fitness-kickboxing lessons. Though the techniques of each class differ, the coaches strive to carry over core values such as respect and self-discipline.
Ceremony and ritual are important aspects of martial arts—so much so that people can forget the very real, very practical applications of self-defense training. The instructors at Hwang's Martial Arts prepare students so that they will be ready if they need to defend themselves, whether standing up or on the ground. Instructors stage realistic self-defense scenarios in tae kwon do and jujitsu classes that instill confidence and self-discipline with each grappling or countering move. Separate classes are also offered in krav maga, the hand-to-hand combat system used by the Israeli Defense Forces. These classes emphasize effective self-defense moves and demonstrate how to take down an attacker in the shortest time possible.
