Shoe Spa founder Beth Weingarten was tired of achy feet. Her experience with shoe shopping was always the same—either she found a comfortable pair of shoes that weren't stylish, or she found a fashionable pair that hurt her feet and didn’t fit well. Finally fed up with the tug-of-war of painting wedges onto wool socks to look the part, Beth set out to open her own shoe boutique to showcase footwear that was comfortable, designer made, and chic.
Shoe Spa embodies Beth's mission of seeking out, stocking, and selling fashionable shoes, boots, clogs, and sandals, all designed to cradle feet, pad heels, and support arches. The Shoe Spa carries a range of styles from designer brands such as Anyi Lu, Thierry Rabotin, Salpy.
With two locations, an accommodating staff of floral designers and artists, and more than 30 years in the business, Crafts & Stuff has carved out a respected place in the Palm Beach arts-and-crafts community. Art and craft supplies range from Prismacolor markers to jewelry-making kits, and share shelf space with an array of wedding accouterments. Nearlyweds can rent custom floral pieces and artists can bring in their glitter and macaroni masterpieces to be immortalized by custom framers who ply their trade on site.
At Concepts in Bloom, experienced florists create fragrant, colorful compositions using live flowers and hand deliver these gifts up and down the Treasure Coast from Stuart to Vero Beach. Like a child playing Tree No. 1 in the school play, the florists convey emotions through the medium of plants. They intertwine tulips, nestle delicate orchids inside bowls, and plant deep crimson roses into crystalline vases. The arrangements adhere to any occasion, from beribboned corsages for prom to flower-filled cornucopias for Thanksgiving. In addition to dazzling loved ones with vases and centerpieces, Concepts in Bloom treats sweethearts and friends to gift baskets laden with fruit, gourmet food, and skincare products.
Beneath the tall palm trees that dot Amelia's SmartyPlants' outdoor garden lies a vast stock of lush plants and vibrant blooms handpicked by an expert staff. The 2-acre independent gardening center amasses plant species both familiar and unusual, helping homeowners beautify their yards and the environment with native florals, ornamental shrubs and trees, and colorful glass garden art that adds color and whimsy to natural plots. Aside from dishing out advice in a monthly newsletter or through their regular in-shop seminars, the plant pros can offer tips on garden design, fertilization, and how to control pests via hypnosis or the shop’s selection of organic and synthetic products. An indoor shopping area also awaits to show off shelves stocked with tools and garden accessories––many made in the United States—such as fountains and statues, all waiting to add interest to landscapes or the miniature dioramas of middle-school giants.
