Inland Empire Brewing Company formed in 2007 when three good friends—all home brewers at the time—happened upon a deal for used brewing equipment. Not willing to let the chance pass, they decided to seize the opportunity, and two years later, officially opened their doors for business. Today, the Inland Empire Brewing Company supplies suds at more than 40 locations. Its Victoria American strong ale—named after the avenue where its hand-zested oranges reside in Riverside—has garnered award-winning attention.
The idea for California Fruit Wine was hatched in 2009, when a friend of Alan and Brian Haghighi introduced the twin brothers to small batches of homemade fruit wine. Since those first sips, Alan and Brian have continued to help wine drinkers break free from grape-based conventions, utilizing such fruit as pomegranates, raspberries, blueberries, cranberries, and pumpkins as the foundation for an ever-growing arsenal of flavors. The winery fills glasses with unique bouquets, and—like the microbreweries throughout Vista Business Park—buys its ingredients from vendors up and down the west coast rather than growing them or stealing them from the refrigerators of napping bears. California Fruit Wine's spacious facility, which is stocked with a stage, bar, and pool table, can also be rented out for parties and private events.

London Executive Sedans may be quite common in England, where they're used as taxicabs, but they're extremely rare in the United States. Temecula Black Car has two of the LTI TX2 models, of which there are only 250 in the whole country. The company uses these vehicles to chauffeur groups for various excursions, primarily wine-tasting tours that explore some of the Temecula Valley's most respected wineries. Groups of up to 10 can visit the service's recommended wineries or chose their own, spending as much time as they wish at each of their destinations. Other tours incorporate horseback riding, lunch, or dinner, though the vehicles can also be rented simply for transportation at weddings or other special occasions. Full packages include hotel accommodations and comprehensive winery tours.
Loosely translated as Manor House, Masia de Yabar Vineyard and Winery mimics the style of a Spanish villa—a gently gabled, terracotta roof caps low stucco walls with arched outlooks. The villa hints at the Yabar family's Spanish ancestry, as well as their passion for winemaking. Today, the Yabar family oversees the production of a handful of wines and leads tastings in an earth-toned room. During tours of the vineyard and winery, they demystify the process of making wines by showing visitors their purple toes. In the shade of palms, they host art classes and live concerts, welcoming guests to relax on the patio with a spicy-sweet malbec or a full-bodied cabernet franc.
Amid Temecula Valley's rippling foothills, equestrian farms, and estate vineyards, Frangipani Estate Winery has carved out a rural post of its own overlooking the Deportola Wine Trail. Since 2003, owner and winemaker Don Frangipani has fused French varietals with old-world Italian styles, exhibiting a passion for red wines along the way. Today, Don's facility produces 5,000 cases per year, and every day, it swings open the doors to its boutique tasting room so visitors can stop by and test drive samples.
Specializing in Italian varietals, Cougar Vineyards and Winery sprawls across 17 acres of land on the De Portola Wine Trail, cultivating an ever-growing selection of specialties such as vermentino, aglianico, pinot grigio, and brachetto. Patrons can sample a consistently rotating arsenal of flavors inside a tasting room that’s open every day of the week, or take their wine education a step further by taking a tour of the production facility or helming a tell-all interview with one of the grapevines. Cougar Vineyards also plays host to a variety of events every month, including live musical acts on Saturdays.
