Fresh fish is held in the highest esteem at Asiana Sushi Grill, where chefs expertly craft rolls composed of fresh tuna, salmon, and shrimp. They lovingly pat rice around the outside of rolls filled with spicy tuna, yellowtail and scallions, or yam tempura. They also create Asiana specialty rolls such as the Dancing Girl, which marries shrimp tempura and soft-shell crab with fried sweet potato, and the Red Dragon, which, like all mythical creatures, is actually spicy tuna and wasabi.
The professional pilots at Timberview Helicopters ferry passengers high into the clouds aboard a sky-scraping whirlybird during flight tours through Destin, Kansas City, and Key West. Having chartered flights for National Geographic and the Travel Channel, these pilots expertly navigate planes toward sweeping, picturesque views, allowing sightseers to steal glances of Fort Walton Beach, downtown Kansas City, and Key West's ocean views from a perspective normally reserved for birds and astronauts with binoculars. Additionally, their high-definition videos grant guests a lasting commemoration of their in-flight experience. When they're not chartering tours, they teach budding pilots the gravity-defying tricks of their trade through pilot training and lug precious shipments from port to port with their cargo-lifting services.
Organization is in Keegan's DNA. As a kid, her room was always clean, and her closet had a system for shoes, sweaters, shirts, skirts, and dresses. Her friends looked to her for help organizing their own things, and they still do today. For Keegan, turning her love for organization into a career was a no-brainer. And so, in an orderly fashion, of course, she got Neat Freak Professional Organizing up and running. Her services tackle both residential and business tasks and even include holiday decorating and moving assistance. She can arrange anything from cabinets and photo albums to garages, paperwork, and office work zones. To get things started, she provides free 30-minute consultations that identify goals and pinpoint systems that suit individual needs.
At IronClad CrossFit, it’s not uncommon to see classes running in the sand on the beach, performing dead lifts in the gym, or flipping tires outside. Trainers Alex and Brett, who are both CrossFit-certified trainers, design a new Workout of the Day (WOD) each day for their clients. Although the WOD is never the same, it might incorporate a combination of various moves such as weightlifting, rowing, running, performing body-weight exercises such as pushups and pull-ups, or doing dips on suspended rings.
Housed inside Fudpucker's sprawling 16,000-square-foot entertainment center, Fudpuckeroni's provides frosty drinks and freshly made pizzas to guests that are hungry after an evening spent shopping or playing arcade games. The sports bar's staff of skilled pizza-makers whips up a variety of specialty pizzas—such as the Redneck Mother with tangy barbequed pork and the gooey Big Cheese—as well as custom pizzas with a choice of cheese, sauce, and gourmet toppings. They layer ciabatta breads with slow-roasted pork and chargrilled chicken to make paninis, and toss plump wings in six different sauces, including tangy caribbean jerk and sweet thai chili.
Intent on creating a space for quality dance performances, apprentice dancers, and community art appreciation, Bernadette Clements Sims founded Northwest Florida Ballet in 1969. Over the next 40 years, the group recruited former student and acclaimed dancer Todd Eric Allen to serve as artistic director and moved into the 13,000-square-foot Sybil Smith Lebherz Center for Dance Education. In addition to pirouetting alongside the Atlantic Ballet and Miami City Ballet, Northwest Florida Ballet graces the stage with dance-driven versions of classic literature, student concerts, and famous Stanley Cup championships. Ballet, hip-hop, and jazz dance classes allow novice danseurs and danseuses their own stage time, and Northwest Florida Ballet's Académie, aimed at third through eighth graders, combines academic lessons from certified elementary teachers with artistic training from ballet pros. Before practicing choreographed prancing, students can stock up on dancewear at Northwest Florida Ballet's boutique.
