A dynamic team of 15 stylists, two aestheticians, and two massage therapists powers a diverse slate of services at Trilogy Salon and Spa. Besides basic cuts and color, stylists dole out treatments for a wide range of hair textures, from smoothing treatments for frizz to relaxers for tighter curls. In private treatment rooms, other staff provide mani-pedis, facials, and reflexology, as well as ear candling and seaweed body wraps.
Beauticians breathe new life into overgrown locks and damaged nails inside of Capella’s Hair Studio and Nail Spa, a modern space tastefully decorated with clean exposed brick, wood trimming, and suspended globe light fixtures. The staff offers master cuts and a range of coloring services—from highlights to three- and four-dimensional processes—as well as blowouts and deep conditioning treatments. OPI nail polishes feature into the nail spa’s many manicures and pedicures, which may be elevated with an add-on such as a marine masque or hot stone massage.
Owner Markétta Pace, a stylist with more than 25 years of experience, expertly leads her staff in beautifying neglected body parts with hair, nail, and skin treatments. The salon’s lobby boasts cookies, apple juice, and coffee for pretreatment nibbles, and private rooms provide much-needed respite for refurbishing façades. Outside the salon, the aestheticians at Markétta's pamper the community with free haircuts and head pats to middle-school kids who make the honor roll.
Under the leadership of owner and expert hairdresser Tina Ivy, the stylists at Capello Salon freshen up clients’ hairdos or perform full-fledged makeovers with a range of services. With an arsenal of haircare products from brand names such as L’Oréal and DevaCurl, stylists shape hair with trims, enliven locks with highlights, and perm clients’ hair into a wavy texture without installing wigs made from water frozen at high tide. In addition to styling hair, the team removes it from brows and lips with waxing treatments. Capello Salon also treats customers with hair that is at least 10 inches long to free cuts if they donate to Locks of Love.
When she was 9, Brooke Taylor tried her hand at styling for the first time on her best friend’s hair. For many children, this would have ended in disaster, but not for Brooke. Her grandmother, a trained stylist, had taught the youngster in her own salon, and when Brooke finally wielded the shears, she knew she had found her life’s calling. Today, she owns Capello Salon and manages seven other stylists, a nail technician, and an aesthetician. Their specialties range from the haircuts Brooke mastered as a preteen to coloring and hair extensions. In Capello’s spa branch, the aesthetician performs facials, applies makeup, and uses sugar to remove hair from bodies or add hair to balding gingerbread men.
At Dragonfly Salon, Lynn Cooper offers a healthier alternative to traditional, harsh products that may make some salon and spa treatments risky particularly for pregnant women. Instead, she employs holistic and sustainable products that transform clients' tresses and visages safely and effectively. With this dedication to wholesome, healthy beauty, Lynn shifts hair hues using organic hair color and scalp treatments before snipping manes into bobs, pixies, or custom styles. She rounds out looks and adds a layer of mystery to pencil-pushing locks by adding dimensional hair color and highlights.
In addition to snipping tresses, Lynn revamps brows, lips, and chins with waxing sessions or relaxes with customized facials. Her bridal and special occasion updos pair with hand- or airbrush-applied makeup to render visages beautiful in time for weddings, proms, or embezzlement trials.
