Best friends Jessica Kucinski and Michelle Minster took inspiration from others in creating their ladies-only, classes-only fitness studio. They present more than 10 classes, such as Skinny Sculpt, belly dancing, Zumba, Interval Blast, and different types of yoga. For a more individual-focused experience, Jessica leads personal training.
Though they didn't always run their own fitness studio—since always would encapsulate the 16th century, in which neither of them were interested in paying the king's 100% tax rate levied on all fitness studios—Jessica and Michelle have always loved working out. One night, however, over glasses of pinot noir, they realized they were only going to the gym in order to attend classes. They agreed that classes made fitness fun, and that other women inspired them. At the time, Michelle was crisscrossing the skies as an airline employee. Jessica was working in sales, though in 2009, the day after completing her very first marathon, she had established the Montville Adventure Boot Camp for Women. An avid runner, Michelle was eager to land her sneakers back on earth. Thus was born Little Black Dress Fitness Studio.
Large, rough-hewn stones border its waiting area, and purple mats fleck the class area's airy, spacious layout. Though there aren't any onsite showers, the staff offers towel service and complimentary coffee and tea.
For more than 40 years, Rauchberg Dental Group has been helping teeth stay healthy and smiles stay shiny with general, preventative, and cosmetic dentistry. To ensure that the practice’s reputation for personability stayed intact after his departure, founder Dr. Joel Rauchberg bestowed the practice to his son, Dr. Alan Rauchberg. The younger Dr. Rauchberg now leads the office’s six dentists, who count a periodontist and an endodontist among their ranks. Though each dentist uses a careful touch as they perform routine cleanings, root canals, Zoom! Whitening, and Invisalign treatments, anxious clients can find comfort in the blankets, pillows, and built-in TVs provided in each treatment room. Each room is also equipped with advanced technology that ranges from low-radiation digital x-rays and cavity-detecting DiagnoDent lasers to the ViziLite Plus with TBlue630 dye, which identifies early signs of oral cancer.
To thank their most dedicated clients, encourage word-of-mouth advertising, and inject a little fun into the workday, Dr. Rauchberg and his crew also hold regular patient-referral raffles. Past winners have gotten a smile workout thanks to prizes including iPads, TVs, and a Fiat 500 emblazoned with each dentist's face on the car doors.
The experienced trainers at European Soccer Academy believe that positivity and commitment are key ingredients for inspiring their players, who range from three-year-olds to teens. Through a medley of individual and team services, they strive to plant the seeds of a lifelong love for the game. They practice with all comers, regardless of initial ability, and motivate kickers with safe and constructive teachings that are meant to hone motor skills while building muscle.
During 10-week team-training programs, academy experts work with coaches to tackle collective weaknesses and augment strengths. Employees personalize their exercises for one-on-one practice sessions, while summer camps instill goal-scoring skills with themed activities. Trainers can even attend matches and compose a game day evaluation, which suggests future team strategies such as painting the ball black to recruit muscly bowlers.
On a mission to combat health-club monotony, founder Jared Kuka replaced the repetitive motions of stationary machines with goPerformance & Fitness's mantra of fun, active, and functional training. Personal trainers at each 24-hour facility keep clients motoring with drills that mirror real-life motions, such as CrossFit techniques, medicine ball throws, and high-speed briefcase unlocking. Ropes, kettlebells, chains, tires, and agility ladders challenge clambering limbs while FreeMotion Fitness gear amps up cardio workouts. With customized routines for small groups or one-on-one sessions, staff members scale their innovative workouts to all fitness levels, and can round out exercise regimens with dietary tips.
