Lee Rose’s love of photography dates back to his youth, but he took a detour through corporate America as a senior executive before committing himself to a photography career. Now, having traded in suits for jeans, Lee works with his partner Cindy Penn to capture life’s moments of beauty with his camera. Skilled at composing and capturing unique shots, Lee snaps portraits and immortalizes important moments such as weddings, graduations, or the first time you saw a double-decker bus. He also captures smoldering glances with boudoir photo shoots, which are customized to match the model’s personality and comfort level.
The two-woman team behind Three Boudoir understands the art of seduction. Each shoot is directed by Joanna, a former Playboy model, who focuses on drawing out her clients’ inner and outer beauty while keeping them relaxed and confident. Meanwhile, Amber captures each image by drawing on her experience as a professional photographer. Together, they foster an experience where clients feel free to express their sultry side, and often enhance sessions with extras such as custom-designed albums or CD cases to show off photos from their shoot.
AH Photo & Image commemorates clients' cherished moments through prints and digital images. The staff snaps shots that range from wedding shoots and family portraits to headshots. They also foster photography know-how through photo workshops for beginners.
As a people person, Jimmy DeToto naturally was drawn to photography. Not only is it an expressive art form, but it also allows him to interact with people in an energetic and meaningful way each day. Whatever the situation—parties, weddings, sporting events—he integrates seamlessly into it, camera aimed and ready to capture the thousands of moments parading before him for posterity. He also shoots portraits of moms-to-be and families, and can apply his visual acuity to help businesses and individuals develop websites.
This week may bring Michael Kors and Bebe, and next week could feature Ann Taylor and Seven, but no matter when someone stops in Eye of the Beholder Consignments, items from high-profile brands can be found on the shelves. Handbags may carry names such as Prada, Coach, and Juicy Couture, and clothing may hail from Talbots, Chico's, and Coldwater Creek. The shop also stocks shoes, business suits, and maternity wear for expectant mothers and dudes who just want to get closer to their children by dressing as a nanny. A portion of proceeds goes to charities such as the Baltimore Humane Society and the American Cancer Society.
Sarah Mitchell went to school for graphic design, but discovered her passion for photography on a trip Uganda. Picking up a couple nice lenses so she could document her trip appropriately, she came home with a slew of pictures that inspired friends and family to commission her to do their wedding and family portraits. Sarah still holds some of the sensibilities from those original Ugandan photographs, capturing her subjects in natural light in simple, candid moments. She photographs wedding, engagements, family portraits, and inanimate beauty found in nature around the world.
