Each of the guitar coaches at American Guitar Academy are certified in the school’s signature teaching method. Developed over 25 years, this house-honed instruction technique incorporates scientific research to help fingers learn to shred frets up to eight times faster than alternative methods. During private half-hour lessons, instructors guide budding rock stars aged 4 years and up through the basics of strumming chords and seamlessly stitching together riffs. These comprehensive lessons on classical, electric, or acoustic guitars are offered once a week with a live instructor or online and guarantee that students will be playing their favorite music within six months of training. Students may begin lessons without owning a guitar, but are encouraged to gain access to one quickly for mastering scales and the ability to solo with their teeth.
For guitarists and bassists of all ages and skill levels, the studio's teachers incorporate music theory into lessons built around reading music or learning favorite songs. And those tunes aren't limited to the ones on the radio—besides rock, Hammeron's teachers specialize in a range of styles such as jazz, country, metal, and blues. Sitting behind a kit for the first time, a beginner drummer only knows how to beat away. But at Hammeron Music, instructors help drummers master the subtle art of accompanying other musicians, as well as other pertinent skills such as sight-reading and improvisation.
Along with lessons, Hammeron Music stocks its showroom with guitars for purchase, it staffs technicians who can fix malfunctioning instruments and amps, and it rents its recording studios to musicians looking to cut demos or full albums.
Through BBB A-rated iPerform 3D's MoCap 360 interactive online technology, students can learn how to play the guitar or strengthen their skills by following an instructor that performs each movement in real time. Should students need to view the chord from a different angle, they can move the camera view to any place around the instructor, all while the online performer continues the motion without busting out into an overenthusiastic virtual solo. Beyond full-range 3D views, the lessons also include customized lesson plans along with live playing exercises and complete tablature, further strengthening the software's teaching potential. All lessons have an intro-video, tab and backing tracks, and users can also loop, zoom-in and out of lessons, and slow sessions down while maintaining pitch.
