Kate Saville Hawkins opened Poshin Paint to provide a space where people of all artistic abilities can socialize while tapping into their creativity. It's all about discovering new talents and nurturing self-expression. The studio hosts canvas-painting classes for adults and painting parties for kids. The team of artists is also mobile—they can bring easels, paints, tables, starry nights, and other essential supplies to customers' homes for private parties. Kids' parties can include decor and cupcakes.
Before she'd ever considered starting her own studio, Design N Unwind's owner found herself in an unfamiliar place: an art class. With a paintbrush in one hand and a glass of wine in the other, she realized that not only was it fun to explore her creative side, but that she wanted to share that experience with others. So, instead of renting a stretch of billboards and letting hitchhikers doodle on them, she established Design N Unwind. There, themed classes put students in charge of painting with simple, step-by-step instructions that can be followed by anyone, regardless of whether they've practiced art before or not. Throughout the week, the studio plays host to public and private events, such as live jazz Sundays and bachelorette parties, as well as classes for kids and teens.
Students don’t have to be fighters to train at PTC Combat Fitness, as the gym has programs for athletes of all skill and experience levels. Expert instructors lead noncontact classes such as cardio kickboxing, as well as contact classes such as Brazilian jiu-jitsu, MMA, and boxing that only involve sparring when the student is ready. They also lead other classes such as self-defense and Brazilian jiu-jitsu for kids, and members can enjoy unlimited access to the weight and cardio training facilities when they’re not in use by another class or instructor.
