IceTown helps kids and adults become nimble on their blades with open-skate hours every day of the week as well as hockey and figure-skating instruction. Free introductory Hockey Academy and Skating Academy lessons, both open to boys and girls aged 3 and older, teach agility, puck-smashing skills, and how to carve an ice sculpture with a series of precise blade kicks. Adults brush up on hockey skills in clinics separated by gender, and groups can take part in sled hockey or broomball. IceTown also opens its doors to birthday revelers, providing use of its party room, access to open skate, and 30 minutes on its rock wall.

Tires squeal and engines roar as autos tear around the 14 sloping curves and wicked hairpins of Adams Motorsports Park’s 3/4-mile paved race circuit. Since opening in 1959, the track has acquired an impressive history, with its veterans entering the likes of the Indy 500 and American Le Mans. Although its vintage layout remains, it has grown and undergone renovations and now boasts a massive 700-foot straightaway, where vehicles prove they can hit top speeds without hitching up to a cheetah. The park hosts wheeled contraptions of all types, such as karts with Honda 9-horsepower, 4-stroke engines that reach up to 50 mph, as well mini bikes and motorcycles. SuperMoto racers leave the pavement to tackle the dirt section’s jumps and treacherous Little Monza turn, which has taunted notable riders such as Jeff Ward.

Adams Motorsports Park also hosts events that bring DJ beats to crowds as they chow down and cheer racers. Time Attack Tuesdays places drivers against the clock, and on Thursdays, aspiring and professional Formula Drift drivers slide around the track. Additionally, the park’s academy teaches novices hoping to follow in the tracks of karters such as Patrick Long and Phil Giebler, both of whom once burned rubber at Adams.

Jumpers of all ages reach for the stratosphere as they propel themselves on Sky Zone Riverside’s indoor trampoline playground. Wearing special socks, patrons bounce off the floor and ricochet off the walls. Court monitors ensure safety and regulate the number of bouncers so that no single court gets overrun by too many people or training kangaroos. Competitive streaks emerge during games of 3-D dodge ball, while SkyBurn classes offer a low-impact way to stay in shape.

At Boomers!, thrill-seeking families and fun-enabling friends can attack a variety of appealing attractions, including mini golf, batting cages, bumper boats, and the button-mashing joys housed inside the exhilarating game room. The Vista location entertains families of sharpshooters with a blacklight-illuminated laser-tag arena before little ones climb and crawl through the Kidopolis play area. The El Cajon and San Diego locations let rivals celebrate the spirit of competition as they fly past each other in speedy go-karts or have a snail-paced Ferris wheel race at the kid's county fair. Unlimited pass holders at the El Cajon location can also scale the 32-foot-tall climbing wall, which, like America, enables citizens to climb to the top via myriad routes.
