While training themselves to perform at local events and salsa congresses, Nuevolution?s founders discovered their passion for teaching dance techniques and routines, leading them to open their own studio to share rug-cutting wisdom with fledgling hoofers. With great enthusiasm for rhythm and self-expression, the studio's energetic team of instructors introduces students of all skill levels to a variety of Latin dance styles, including salsa, bachata, belly dancing, Argentine tango, and more.
Zumba, Yoga, and Tae Bo fitness classes motivate participants to shimmy off pounds and strengthen muscles so they can bend crowbars into clef notes. The kids' dance program gives younger students their first taste of lyrical, hip-hop or music theater jazz techniques in a fun, lighthearted environment. Nuevolution schedules classes six days a week and can spice up special events with fiery, professional dance numbers.
The team at ReggaeFit has more in common than the fact that they're all experienced instructors. Each woman has been dancing her entire life. A co-owner of ReggaeFit, Rachel has studied everything from ballet and tap to hip-hop and jazz. Now, she finds herself uniting exercisers under a banner of red, yellow, and green.
The instructors lead ReggaeFit workouts that get bodies moving to the infectious rhythms of reggae and soca music. During every class, they combine light, high-energy aerobics with Caribbean dance moves, motivating women and men alike to shake, shimmy, and groove along with the beats. The facility doesn't forget about younger visitors, either. Kids' classes take groups through a range of slower ska tunes and faster soca rhythms so kids can keep up
at school dances when the DJ loses control of the tempo button.
Christine Sanon-Jules, a choreographer who has worked with celebrities such as Paula Abdul and the Pussycat Dolls, leads hip-hop fitness classes with a club atmosphere at Club Fix Fitness. A live DJ, club lights, and hit music keep bodies moving as they master new moves and sweat away pounds.

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Our classes are results-based to help each client lose weight and feel great. We go the extra mile to help them remove obstacles that prevent them from living healthy and losing weight. For this reason we offer a free healthy-living, weight-loss support group and individualized nutritional coaching.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Our small-group exercise classes are no larger than 12–15 in a class. As a result, our clients are in close proximity with our energetic, fun motivational instructors, who are in great shape themselves and serve as a model of what results can be achieved. Our music is chosen by clients themselves.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
The loss and illness of loved ones who suffered from diabetes, stroke, heart attack, and Alzheimer's disease. The love of seeing people achieving a healthy body, mind, and soul. The end results of witnessing children become healthy and happier because of their parents, who are healthy and fit.
What do you love most about your job?
Witnessing the increase of self-esteem, hope, and happiness of people who I have trained and coached from fat to fit. Helping people to adopt a healthy lifestyle after they learned the science, skills, and strategies of losing weight and keeping it off forever. Seeing the results of my clients!
