Regardless of individuals' physical state or fitness goals, Brian and Jhenna Arthun can help people reach their aspirations through CrossFit. The workout regimen caters to the needs of everyone from competitive athletes to casual enthusiasts by allowing clients to adjust the scale and intensity of each exercise. Over the course of a class, students follow ever-changing sequences of exercises based on functional movements, which can include lunges, sit-ups, sprints, dead lifting weights, and hurling medicine balls into orbit. The intentionally broad curriculum of CrossFit ensures that every workout helps strengthen muscle groups across the entire body while increasing stamina and endurance. To help newcomers learn more about the CrossFit system, Brian and Jhenna also offer introductory-level classes that focus on the form and technique needed to safely perform each exercise and minimize the risk of accidental injury.
At CTD CrossFit, certified trainers help participants transform their bodies by struggling, sweating, and laughing together. Each session’s athletes work together as they pound out the punishing Workout of the Day, which blends power lifts and plyometrics with gymnastic movements and body-weight exercises. An average class might include a round on the rowing machine, followed by flipping oversize tractor tires and flinging medicine balls into the air with the greatest of ease.
North Golf Course does away with extremely long holes, tight landing zones, and overly difficult hazards in favor of a par 61 layout that's playable for all golfers. Comprised of 11 par 3s and 7 par 4s, the course lets beginners of all ages concentrate on taking confident swings and enjoying their good shots without worrying that a menacing par 5 is going to follow them home. Though the 4,087-yard layout won't give longer hitters too many chances
to show off their stuff, it does encourage them to work on accuracy with the short irons and touch with the putter.
