A traditional layout of kempt bent-grass fairways and greens, Wedgwood Country Club's gently rolling 18-hole course wends through a dense thicket of trees, bunkers, and ponds. Measuring 7,100 yards from the farthest tees, the par-72 course eases clubbers into the round with a relatively open front nine before testing their accuracy and squirrel diplomacy on a tight, tree-lined back nine. With four sets of tees, the course presents a par-hunting test to all players, from beginners to those who can wallop a drive more than 300 yards.

Inflated structures, slides, and games fill the climate-controlled environs of the numerous BounceU locations that speckle the nation. At each site, staff members closely monitor all activities as little ones traverse obstacle courses or pull on oversized inflatable boxing gloves. The crew also invites parents to join in on the fun, letting them bounce alongside their kids or make sweeping edicts from atop a bouncy-castle throne.
In addition to open sessions, the indoor-play haven sets the stage for the Preschool Playdate program, where instructors lead games and activities. Special events include family-bounce night, which lets parents join in the bouncing or relax in the party room and do grownup things, such as eat marshmallows with a knife and fork.
At each Jump!Zone locale nationwide, children ages 2–12 race through themed play areas, bounce on inflatables, and fly down giant slides. Boys and girls can become airborne in Cars- and Incredibles-themed bouncers or venture through the 28-foot-tall mountain slide that pits King Kong against T. rex in an epic battle for who has to do the dinner dishes. Sports-minded tots can train on the basketball- or football-themed inflatables, mimicking the constantly bouncing players in all televised sports, and pintsize play-timers can dispatch their financial stresses in Toddler Train adventure land. While the kids play, their adult counterparts can relax in the café, use Jump!Zone's free WiFi, and finally have time to recite the periodic table of elements in peace. Check the schedule for open-play hours.

A group of resident ducks waddle across The Carriage House's grassy front yard, hoping to be fed a few crumbs as diners shuffle in to fill up on homestyle meals or shuffle out— delightfully sated—possibly with a purchased bag of duck food in hand. Interacting with the environment is just one of the pleasant surprises at the restaurant—where diners enjoy meals at tables in the main dining area or in one of the private rooms overlooking a lake while enjoying entrees such as deviled crab, veal parmigiana, or Delmonico steak.
Lunch and Friday-night dinner buffets feature discounted daily cuisine specials, and sunset dinners every Tuesday–Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. feature lighter entree portions with soup, a salad, sides, and housemade desserts such as apple crisp or bread pudding. A traditional three-course afternoon tea service brings an air of yesteryear as guests dine on sandwiches and scones on fine china. Guests can also book party rooms for celebrations such as birthdays, baby showers, or bathing in presents.
