The experienced staff at Inspirations Dance & Fitness Center lead a variety of dance and dance-based fitness classes that are inspired by their own artistic careers. The studio is run by Melissa Brown, who received her first professional dance gig at the age of 14. She has trained extensively in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and street dance. After working with recording artists and at a fitness facility, Melissa became a certified Zumba instructor and now leads group classes at Inspirations. She uses her diverse background and passion for dancing to inspire her clients to get in shape and learn to love working out.
Dance Time of New Jersey’s expert teachers lead students of all experience levels across the wooden floors during various dance classes. They teach a variety of styles, such as ballroom, Argentine tango and swing, and encourage students to try out their new skills during social dance parties. These parties help students contextualize their lessons by practicing with a variety of partners and conducting exceedingly formal small talk.
At What Are U Eating?, a trained nutritionist draws upon her wide knowledge of dietary theory and lifestyle coaching to help her clients reach optimal mental and physical health. The holistic-health counselor helps guests set and accomplish realistic goals through training sessions, email support, and easy recipes. She also hosts yoga and Zumba classes once a week and offers occasional health workshops, such as Healing Oils of the Bible.
Club Fitness tones and pampers bodies with group training, personal training, and tanning services, earning the Best of Gloucester County award in 2013 for its fitness center and gym. The 15,000-square-foot club spans two floors partitioned into dedicated rooms for cardio, Group X, and spinning, as well as a fitness floor lined with Hammer Strength, Cybex, Precor, Star Trac, and Life Fitness equipment. Group exercise classes meet seven days a week, and Club Fitness frees up workout time for busy parents with onsite childcare and robot stand-ins to send to the office. To replenish spent energy reserves, a shake and juice bar pours out chilled refreshments and steaming cups of gourmet coffee.
