When he was a boy in the small town of Mount Olive, Illinois, Dr. David J. Rubis dreamed of being a dentist. Doggedly pursuing his goal, he graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1978 and opened his own practice. Years later, his son, Dr. Joseph Rubis, followed in his footsteps by joining a growing network of dental-care centers headed by Rubis pére. Now, as the network boasts 30 dentists working at 10 locations throughout Chicagoland, Advanced Family Dental & Orthodontics, PC, continues its founder’s mission to provide the best care for patrons' teeth, gums, and crippling need to collect every color of complimentary toothbrush.
The Associated Orthodontists practice was established in 1969 and prides itself on employing a staf of experienced orthododntic professionals. With hundreds of locations across the country, Right Dental Group represents a collection of oral-health-care professionals who deliver a variety of quality dental services. The collective places an emphasis on relationship building—meaning patients can confess their most egregious toffee-apple trespasses while receiving a teeth scrubbing delivered with precision and understanding. Each of the dentists is prescreened for a consistent record of excellence and the ability to efficiently locate a cavity in a toothstack.
Captained by a father-daughter duo of experienced dentists, the tooth-care team at Carter Sledge Family Dentistry aims to make smiles bright and healthy. During the teeth cleaning, hygienists oust built-up plaque, tartar, and kelp to help prevent the advent of cavities, gingivitis, and bacteria. Panoramic and bitewing x-rays allow the dentist to check and inspect the inner workings of the chompers from various angles. An exam gives experts on pearly whites the chance to peer into the mouth's cavernous oral depths, and a cosmetic consultation provides clients with recommendations for treatments that will help whiten, brighten, and straighten a smile. Finally, a technician performs a quick oral-cancer screening for precautionary purposes.
Dr. Pope understands the general anxiety associated with dentistry, so he works closely with his patients to help them understand dental procedures and to make them comfortable. He honed his craft at the University of Illinois at Chicago and now draws on that knowledge while performing general, cosmetic, and surgical dental services. As a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he also gives back by offering benefits to his fellow veterans. Besides employing the latest technology to foster pain-free treatments, he offers nitrous oxide sedation, which keeps patients in a conscious but deeply relaxed state.
