Furnished with bins of vibrant yarn, antique fixtures, and even a few comfortable chairs reserved for onsite knitting, Nomad Yarns' sunlit shop feels like a home away from home to any crafter. The cozy shop is home to dozens of yarn, needle, and notion brands, as well as local fibers courtesy of the animals of local Breezy Manor Farm and Amber Meadow Farm. To put all these supplies to use, the shop also hosts a rotating schedule of classes that focus on wearable projects such as socks, sweaters, and monocle cozies, as well as a Thursday night knit and crochet club, which is free and open to crafters of all skill levels.
The technicians at Golf Etc. Avon share each customer’s passion for golf, and they approach each transaction with one goal in mind: shaving strokes off the player’s game. Using a personalized, custom approach, techs offer services such as club fittings and professional repairs. The fitting center houses advanced technological equipment such as a GC2 launch monitor, which records data about the swing that technicians interpret to fit clubs. Golf Etc. Avon also sells golf gear and apparel from top brands such as Ping, Cobra, Adams, and Mizuno.
A self-described "gate-to-plate company," Moody's Butcher Shop sources its meat from the family’s own Lone Pine Farms, where Adam Moody raises free-range chickens, pigs, cows, and lambs. Along with selling products from their own farms, the Moody Butcher Shop family also supports other farmers by purchasing their meat products to help sustain the community and ensure that only high-quality and fresh cuts of meat are sold there.
Indicative of the Moodys’ longtime butchering skills, the shop sells a variety of pork and beef cuts that can meet the demands of any recipe, from loins to roasts and steaks. Hand-stuffed sausages run the gamut from chicken to chorizo, and smoked meats give customers several bacon and ham options.
