Absolute Yoga's instructors uphold the studio’s mission to "make yoga readily accessible to every body" by guiding pupils through more than 50 classes ranging in style and difficulty level each week. Within two separate practice spaces, studio owner Leslie Luft and her band of certified instructors lead a wide variety classes, from prenatal yoga for expecting mothers to core-strengthening Pilates sessions and yoga classes rooted in more meditative modalities. To further foster a close community of health and wellness, Absolute Yoga hosts intensive workshops that help attendees expand their understanding of specific subjects such as inversion and balancing poses and holistic baby-food making.

Nicole Tzen, Inner Balance’s owner and a certified holistic practitioner, wants to do more than treat illness; she strives to empower clients to take control of their own health. That’s why, in addition to offering integrative-healing services such as massage therapy, acupressure, and reiki healing, she hosts a range of yoga classes to bolster clients’ fitness. This balance between mind, body, and spirit is also seen in the wellness center’s Peaceful Minds program, in which licensed holistic practitioner Amy Mahoney provides free massage therapy, reiki healing, and yoga and meditation instruction for combat veterans.
Within Sole Pilates & Yoga’s beet-red walls, instructors lead small groups of students through rigorous postures on Pilates reformer machines. With just five machines in their studio, the instructors can ensure that each student benefits from personal adjustments and individual attention. The machines' pulleys, bars, and sliding carriages add extra resistance to traditional Pilates postures, testing students' strength against their own body weight to develop lean, toned muscles. In addition to the Pilates reformer, the instructors lead mat Pilates classes to carve strong core muscles, and yoga sessions that flow through strength- and relaxation-inducing poses, resulting in enough flexibility and body control to squeeze into a milk carton.
With an arsenal of treadmills and weight-training equipment at their disposal, the personal trainers and fitness instructors at Gym 33 help clients reach their personal fitness goals. The gym further caters to clients' busy schedules with flexible hours and childcare.
Director Patrick Hanratty chose to study under hot-yoga master Bikram Choudhury after becoming captivated by the technique. He has since taught yoga for seven years, and derives the most happiness from witnessing his clients finding themselves surprised by the Bikram style's visible benefits. Patrick welcomes students of all experience levels to Hot Yoga Massapequa, where he cultivates an encouraging setting in which classes run seven days a week. During each session, guests transition from one Bikram pose to the next, following a specific sequence that utilizes every major muscle group. While the heat draws out toxins through sweat, the technique's therapeutic element inspires patrons to let go of stress and chronic aches sustained from sleeping in a giant pretzel mold.
