Floss Dental's dentists and surgeons, many of whom are often featured on local TV stations, may specialize in preventative care, but they also beautify mouths with cosmetic- and reconstructive-surgery services, such as veneers, Invisalign, and dental implants. They harness panoramic x-rays to get a complete view of the teeth, and they broadcast these pictures on a TV, which helps them explain which treatments are necessary and to point out which tooth would look best with an inlaid diamond chip.

Floss Dental encourages patients to keep coming back by offering free Invisalign consultations and free Boost whitening once a year to those who maintain their regular cleanings. Flat-screen TVs and satellite radio entertain patients during their procedures, and sedation dentistry keeps them free from anxiety in a dream-like state.

Dr. David Clark's bioesthetic approach to dentistry helps to treat a wide range of dental issues by focusing on the entire chewing system. Positing that chewing-system anomalies contribute to TMJ, headaches, dental pain, and cosmetic defects, Dr. Clark addresses these and other issues by striving for proper alignment throughout the entire jaw, including the tissues and airways. Dr. Clark and his team corral chompers into straight rows through Invisalign treatments, conventional braces, and intensive line-dancing classes.

What is one of your signature services? How is it performed?
We provide Invisalign treatment for all ages. Invisalign straightens crooked teeth [with] highly advanced, clear aligners. An initial exam, including x-rays, photos, and impressions of your mouth pave the way for a great smile. After the exam, the molds, photos, and x-rays are used to create a set a aligners specifically designed to your teeth. Depending on the client’s teeth, as few as 12 or as many as 48 separate aligners will need to be worn throughout a period of 6 to 15 months before the straightening effect finally finishes.

When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?
During dental school at UPenn, I developed a passion for orthodontics. The combination of healthcare and engineering appealed to my bilateral interests. I've always enjoyed LEGOs and all things mechanical, but also wanted to help people on a personal level. I truly enjoy helping people achieve a better smile.

Do you or your staff have any special certifications or degrees?
I have a DMD from UPenn and my Certificate in Orthodontics as well as a Masters in Oral Biology from Columbia.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
The office is brand new, [and] it looks pretty good. We take nearly all PPO insurances and are In-Network on most. We have an emphasis on preventative care. Straight teeth are less prone to periodontal disease and cavities.

For eight years, Crystal Creek Dental's Dr. An Le made his living working with the latest dental and orthodontic advancements, but the passion that drove him to experiment with these technologies came form his patients. He practices a broad range of dentistry, from cosmetic repair and implants to orthodontics and oral-cancer care. He examines teeth from every angle with his tiny mirror before peering into their inner circuit boards with digital or conebeam 3D x-rays. Yet, his favorite part of his job remains working with the people, rather than playing with the toys. "It is very satisfying to wake up everyday and know that I will make a difference in someone's life," he says, "Whether I am giving a patient back a smile they have lost or helping alleviate [their] discomfort."

Dr. John M. Hucklebridge stands out among his peers, at least in the eyes of the American Academy of General Dentistry: it awarded him fellowship status, an honor given to fewer than 10% of dentists worldwide. Dr. Hucklebridge has honed his skills over more than two decades of general and cosmetic dentistry, and he brings his skills to each dental procedure and exam. He and his staff strive to put clients at ease during their dental treatments, whether they’re in for a routine checkup or a dental-implant procedure. All services—which include porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, and Invisalign braces—also serve a greater good: Dr. Hucklebridge works with organizations such as Smiles For Life and Giving Back a Smile, which provide dental services to children and those affected by domestic violence.
