Debuting in spring 2013, the Xtreme South Football League features semi-professional teams from all across Dixie. Its 14 teams include representatives from Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, and eight squads hailing from Alabama. As one of those eight teams, the Alabama Crusaders give Birmingham Metro, Jefferson, and Shelby County football fans with a home team to cheer for. The Crusaders' main goal is to develop local talent: they give players an alternative to going overseas or posing as a peewee team's tackling dummy just to stay in the game. Fans can watch those players display high-octane athleticism during home games, which take place atop the gridiron at Pelham High School.

Winners of the 2010 Southern Professional Hockey League President’s Cup, the Huntsville Havoc face a new season of fast-paced puck-handling and loyally rowdy fans. With a reputation for playing inevitably exciting hockey, center Glenn Detulleo, goalie Dan McWhinney, and the rest of the team use their collective talent to propel the game, rather than resorting to marathon body checks or diabolical mind games. Mezzanine seats give fans a comprehensive view of every smoke-trailed slap shot, pulchritudinous power play, and wild zamboni stampede. Bring a lifelong hockey fan or your second head along for a night of intense fun as you watch the Havoc express-mail presents to the nets of the Surge, Riverhawks, or Ice Bears.

Entering their 85th season, the Harlem Globetrotters have entertained millions of parents, children, and general basketball admirers with a unique brand of athletic precision and showmanship. For their latest “4 Times the Fun” North American tour, the Globetrotters will add a new 4-point shot spots located 35 feet from the basket, which is 12 feet further than the official three-point line but several thousand miles closer than the prime meridian. See the arch-nemesis Generals try to keep up as the Harlem hardwood sorcerers evade gravity’s oppressive clutches and court clairvoyants distribute unassailable alley-oops. Youngsters can learn about the benefits of teamwork while laughing along with the jovial jocks as they perform classic routines of unconventional passing and sudden transmutations of water into confetti.

Stomp has thrilled audiences with mind-blowing percussive pieces for more than 20 years, touring 350 cities and 36 countries across the globe. Kinetic dance numbers incorporate ubiquitous everyday objects, using brooms, sheets of newspaper, and Zippo lighters to fashion intricate beats and sterling examples of what children should not do. The current tour revamps the classic show, phasing out old numbers and adding in exciting set pieces involving paint cans and tractor tires. The BJCC's capacious concert hall provides plenty of room for airborne harmonies to stretch their wings while orchestra- and tier-level seats provide enviable views of onstage numbers and chimpanzees capering in the catwalk.

Ranked among Ticketmaster's Top 25 Most Requested Family Events for five consecutive years, UniverSoul Circus grants an interactive spectacle of acrobatic stunts, dance, and comedy set to popular urban sounds. With its swirling lights and pulsing beats, the circus's resemblance to a blowout concert tour is no accident: production designer Tom Marzullo has created internationally touring stage shows for Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, and Prince.

As hosts, a troupe of improv comics slip laughs in between the gasps and draw the crowd even closer into the action. Meanwhile, the production makes jaws drop farther with trained elephants, illusions featuring a live tiger, a head-balancing act from Vietnam, and female contortionists from Ethiopia. These make up just a few of the globally sourced performers, others of whom hail from locales as diverse as Colombia, South Africa, Russia, and Trinidad and Tobago.
